Chapter 15- Sports

We were sitting on the bleachers when Katniss came and started some beef with me. Luckily, Sora told her off and we were safe for the time being. Notice how I say, for the time being...she was most likely going to come back. It's like Aaliyah isn't even my bully anymore, it's more of Katniss. She should just quit her job and let Katniss take over. Kai sat next to me and laid his head on my shoulder. I looked at him "Something wrong, Kai?" He pouted. "I have a nickname for you, you need to give me one now." "Oh, hold up, maybe I can think of one." I stayed long and hard thinking of a nickname. Even Hiro was all busted out of nicknames. Kai pouted even more as the time passed by until I finally said "Hyuka! Hyuka is a cute nickname!" Kai looked up at me and said "Hyuka...?" I nodded my head. He smiled and clapped his hands. "That's so cute! I love it!!"

Kai looked at me and said "I signed up for volleyball." I smiled and said "Oh really? I hope you get in! You can play volleyball pretty well?" He nodded his head. "I enjoy playing it. It's pretty fun." I ruffled his hair and said "Well, whenever you have a game. Invite me. I'll be there." He looked at me with puppy eyes. "You promise?" I smiled and patted his head. "Promise." Hiro butted in and said "Don't forget to invite me and Sora. We'll make signs for the game." Kai chuckled and said "Alright. I'll invite all of you."

After school had finished, Kai had told me he was going to the auditions to be on the team. I nodded my head and wished him good luck. Then Hiro came up to me and offered to go and eat at McDonald's. "Mcdonalds again, Hiro? You always wanna go and eat there." Hiro shrugged and said "Wanna go?" I shrugged and said "Yeah, sure." "Alright, Sora's coming with me." "I have no problem with that."

So we left the school, but before we could make our way, I saw Mingi at the corner of the school building. "Hold up, Hiro. I'll be right with you. Eat Sora's face in the meantime." "Sheesh, no need to tell me twice." I walked over to where Mingi was and turns out he was with a girl. You can see on his face that he was not expecting this. Once again, he did not want to be around this girl but it looked like he was trying to play it cool. Typical Mingi. So, of course, I stood behind a corner and watched.

Mingi said "Sarahi, I'm not here to be with you or try and do anything with you. I'm trying to get home. I don't want anyone seeing us." So her name is Sarahi... Sarahi responded "You're just so hard to stay away from...you're so addictive..." She leaned in closer. Which he responded "Sarahi, get away from me. This is harassment." Sarahi showed a look of shock on her face and said "Harassment? This is not harassment. I'm just showing you the attention you deserve. You don't get enough attention for being so handsome and attractive..." She got close and leaned her body onto his. This was very disgusting to watch. I was about to step in when-

Mingi leaned to Sarahi's ear and whispered "You get the fuck away from me. I'm not interested in girls like you." Then he pushed her away from him. He walked away but Sarahi chased after him and grabbed onto his arm. He looked back at her and said "Let me go. This ain't no kdrama scene." He pulled his arm away. I walked over and held Mingi's hand and walked away with him. Mingi looked down and said "What are you doing here?" I answered "I saw what was happening. That pretty much looked like harassment. You were trying to play it off but I could tell you weren't too comfortable." "Yeah, I wasn't. She's developed a crush on me all of a sudden. I don't know why."

I shrugged and said "It's probably part of some dumb plan she has." "Yeah, probably. Thanks for coming. She prolly thinks you're my girlfriend or something." I laughed and said "She probably does." He chuckled and said "You kept my secret, right?" I nodded my head and said "Of course. I won't tell anyone." "Good, I don't want anyone figuring out I have a crush on Faith..." I nodded and said "You tell her when you feel comfortable. I don't want anyone figuring out I like the new kid. His name is Kai." "Oh yeah! He passed by me when I was going to the gym for basketball tryouts. But then Sarahi brought me outside so she could harass me." I rolled my eyes and said "Isn't she Serenity's bully?" He nodded "One of them." I looked up at him and said "One of them?!"

Anyways, I arrived at McDonald's with Hiro and Sora. Of course, fear of ordering for myself so Sora went to order food for us. "Serenity lied to me, Hiro." He put his phone down and said "Lied to you? How?" "I didn't know she had 3 Bullies." "Wait, wait, wait, pause." Hiro took a minute to process this. "She ain't even tell me shit about any bullies. She has 3 bullies? They bully her for what?" "I guess for being a Latino-Asian. They call her black and stuff. I don't know the whole story." Of course, Hiro almost flipped the fuck out but Sora came just in time to shove French fries in his mouth. "Here, eat that and don't flip out whatever it is you were about to flip out on." I started eating my food and then suddenly someone sat next to me. I looked over and it was Kai. "Woah, how did you get here?" He looked over at me and said "It's been 3 hours. Tryouts are over. I made the team!" I clapped "Yay!! You made it!!"

Then Kai looked down and said "Yeah...but there's also some bad news..." I looked at him and said "And what's that bad news?"

"Katniss is the captain of the cheerleading team..."

Sora and Hiro spit out their soda and I choked on my milkshake.

(I'm sorry this chapter was pretty bad, I literally had no ideas on what to do. 😭)
