Rydel's POV
-
Baker's blonde hair was covering his left eye slightly, his attire was ripped jeans, white t-shirt, and black chuck Taylor's. To top off his outfit, he had on a leather jacket and a pair of ray Bans sat upon his nose. He looked like a biker dude in an old gang movie.
In all honesty, he was hot. He no longer had braces, as his turned up smirk showed his straight, white teeth. He pulled off his sunglasses to reveal his sparkling, green eyes.
"Hey Baker," I greeted him with a broad smile.
"'Sup?" He tilted his head back a little and snapped it back to its before position.
I walked over to his car, letting myself in, seeing as he had no intention to do so himself.
"So, where are we going?" I asked.
"Somewhere," Baker stated back in a blank tone.
Well, okay then.
After riding for almost an hour, we pulled up at a nice restaurant. I got out, flattening my dress out to make sure I had no wrinkles or anything on it.
Baker showed up beside me, and we walked in together.
"Reservation?" Asked the brunette at the front. She couldn't have been but twenty, and I saw Baker out the corner of my eye checking her out.
"Yes, we have a reservation for two. Abraham," Baker smirked. I felt my cheeks heat up, because the anger was getting to me.
"Alright, follow me this way," the Brunette, who's name tag said Wynter on the front of it, winked at Baker and swayed her hips as we walked behind her.
We took our seats at the table and waited for Wynter to take our order.
"What could I get y'all to drink?" She asked in a southern accent.
"Um, lemonade for me," I smiled.
"Okay, and what for you?"
"Pepsi, please," Baker smiled. Wynter wrote it down on a tab, and winked as she walked away.
"You were totally checking her out," I accused.
"Was not," Baker denied.
"Oh please, you smirked as she winked at you. I know how the game goes, I'm not stupid," I chuckled.
Baker didn't say anything, but licked his lips as Wynter came back with our drinks.
After ordering, we just sat there and chatted before our food came out.
"So, how've you been?" I asked.
"I've been better. . . I kind of miss dancing, though," Baker confessed.
"Well, I don't dance anymore, either."
"That's right, you're in band now," Baker smiled. I blushed and nodded my head.
"Yeah, with Ellington. You remember him?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, Ellington and I are real close. We're like this," Baker explained, overlapping his middle finger over his index finger.
"Oh, that's cool," I said, just in time for our food to come out.
-After dinner-
Baker paid and we left. He drove me home, and I went straight to my room. I got my pajamas out, going straight to the bathroom and showering.
-the next day-
I woke up the next morning, sprinting straight to my closet and picking out my clothes. Jeans, t-shirt, and black pumps will be alright.
