Title

POV: Enzo

I walked inside G56, my class, and sat down whilst hearing all sorts of things being thrown around about this new kid.

I wonder what her name is.. maybe i can finally make a friend, can't continue to call her the druggie. Won't be the best, as she's a known psycho, but it'll be someone atleast.

I rolled my eyes.

As if.

"Enzo Bonner, is he here?" Connor kicked the back of my chair and I zoned back in, hearing the my teacher call my name.

"Huh? Oh.. yeah here miss."

"Pay attention Enzo!" She frowned.

"Right, I'm sorry."

I heard Connor chuckle and he came to sit down next to me, he smiled, "Hows it going? Have you heard about the druggie that has been transferred to our school? Apparently she tried to kil-"

"Cant you just keep your nose out of other people's business? Apparently not. You don't know anything so i don't know why you're believing rumours." I rolled my eyes again and turned my attention towards my teacher.

"Defensive much? Someone's moody." He chuckled again, slamming my book shut.

I looked at him, "wow, cheers."

"Yeah yeah, no problem. I'll see you next lesson? I have to go somewhere. Anyway, Owen said he wanted to speak to you about something." Connor got up out of his seat and I watched him tell Miss Layden his pathetic excuse of getting out of class, which somehow always seemed to work.

Great. Just perfect.

The school bell went off, indicating next lesson. I gathered my books and pens, shoving them into my bag. I got up from my seat and tucked it back in place, unlike everybody else.

"Bye, miss." I smiled at my teacher.

"Have a good day Enzo!" She smiled at me.

I nodded, "you too." I made my way out of the classroom and towards the stairs, carefully watching my steps, but I bumped into Owen.

"Ah!" When i realised it was him, I sighed, "what do you want? You've already pissed me off and it's five minutes until next lesson so can you please hurry up." I looked at him.

"Alright, i'll be quick. I just wanted to apologise for earlier and explain myself. I don't think hanging out with the new kid will be a good idea, I've heard that she stabbed her dad and didn't get any charges for it. Apparently she's depressed and shit, but please be careful and stay away from her. You can't trust anyone these days and i don't understand why Vincen High is letting druggies run loose around our school. Pathetic if you ask me." He stared at me, awaiting a reply.

However, judging by the look on his face i don't think he got the reply he was expecting.

"Oh my gosh.. do people seriously thrive off of other peoples drama? I think you're the pathetic one, sticking your head into her business. You don't even know her name! How do you think she feels, transferring to a new school where she knows nobody and already having a name - 'The Druggie' because i bet that's lovely." I started to get a little defensive, questioning where this anger came from.

"Woah.. Enzo i'm sorry. i didn't realise it would.. upset you this much. I know you've talked to her, but you barely know her. I still don't want you hanging around her otherwise i'll have to get mum involved. Not everything's about having a pretty face." He looked down, then back up at me.

"I'm going to be late because you've stopped me for this unnecessary conversation. I'm going now, so goodbye." I started walking to my second lesson, which was the opposite way of Owen.

POV: Madelyn

This is going to suck. My first day and i'm already known as 'The Druggie'. People don't even know my story and none of them would be interested to find out. I'm not opening up to anyone this year, i've learnt my lesson and it's not happening agai-

What was that?

I walked closer towards the bottom of the stairs and saw these two short boys, both with messy brown hair, talking.
I was interested so i listened into their conversation, which i know i shouldn't of done. I couldn't hear all of it because of the loud noises but i heard snippets..

Was that the boy from earlier?

"Druggie" coming from the slightly taller boy and "How do you think she feels" coming from the shorter one.

Hold on.. was someone sticking up for me? No, that can't be right. He only talked to me once.

I leaned closer and put my hood up, trying not to be seen by anyone passing by, which was quite impossible.

They're talking about me.. but he's sticking up for me, i wasn't hearing things?

"I'm going to be late because you've stopped me for this unnecessary conversation. I'm going now, so goodbye."

Uh oh.. i better try and find my class before he sees i'm listening to their conversation. I don't want everyone to think i'm a creep too. I sighed.
