Love Affair

1. The Phone Call

~It was an average day at the hospital although there were lots of patients and few surgeons. Dr.Bailey was in need of surgeons!~

Dr.Bailey POV:
I was running up and down the halls trying to find a Peds surgeon who could help with a 5 year old boy who had swallowed 12 marbles and was getting really bad stomach pains. There was no Peds surgeon to be found until finally Dr.Hayes answered his Page and quickly scrubbed in. "Where the hell have you been" I say in a low but aggressive tone "I was in a surgery with a 5 month old wh-" I cut him off "I really dont care! now just get in there and help that poor 5 year old!". I walked out of the scrub room a bit irritated but also so confused. how did we get this many patients and have so little surgeons. I went back to my office and paged Richard!

Dr.Webber POV:
I saw Bailey paged 911 so I got to her office as fast as I could. "Bailey whats wrong, you paged me 911" I could tell she looked focused and confused. "Richard I dont know what to do?" I could tell she was concerned but not quite sure about what. "Well whats wrong Bailey" "How is it that we have so many
patients and so few surgeons?" she put down her papers and looked up at me with a confused look. "Bailey
you think this is the first time this ever happened? no. It happened to all the Chiefs, and all the Chiefs always found a way to get surgeons that were familiar and good at what they do." I tried to comfort her as much as I could knowing that she would find a great solution. "Well what the hell am I supposed to do pull surgeons out of my hat?" "Bailey... you know what you need to do. I dont think you need my help anymore. I think you got it."
I walked away knowing she was a bit confused but also knowing that I gave her the best advice that I could.

Dr.Bailey POV:
Richard walked out of my office leaving me a little confused but also very confident in what I needed to do. The only other surgeons I knew were no longer living in Seattle. The only people I could think of were Arizona, Callie, Addison and April. I knew that I had to call them to see if they could come back and work for the Hospital. I had heard Callie and Penny had broken up and Callie and Arizona were back together in New York so I figured it would not be too hard to get them back over here. I knew Addison was back in LA at her practice so I figured she probably wouldn't want to come back to Seattle. The Last person I thought of was April, I figured she might want to come back but not sure if she was ready after so many years. I decided to Call Arizona and Callie first.

Arizona POV:
It was 1:35pm in New York and me and Callie finally had a day off from working at the Hospital. We were both getting bored in New York, there was too many people and so much traffic. It was Tuesday so we had the house to ourselves while Sofia was at school. "Babe i'm bored of this place" I started to say "I know, but Arizona what are we supposed to do! theres no other Hospitals here that will accept us." we looked at each other for one second until *DINGG DINGGG* I picked up my phone to see a name I was not expecting "oh? Bailey's calling? I haven't heard from her in a while" Me and Callie exchanged confused looks before I answered the phone.

Callie POV:
Arizona answered the phone and we heard a familiar voice. "Hey Arizona! How are you?" Arizona looked up at me with a little smile I could tell she was happy that she called. "Hi Bailey! I'm doing Okay how are you?" "im doing fine... well other than the fact that we have so many patients and so little Surgeons." I lifted my eyebrow and pointed a happy questionable look to Arizona.
"Oh I'm so sorry to hear that Bailey." Arizona said with a small grin knowing what this conversation could be about. "Thats actually why I'm calling. Is Callie with you or should I call at a different time?" Arizona and I both had big smiles across our face.

Arizona POV:
"Oh no now is a perfect time! here ill put the phone on speaker so Callie can listen" I said while having a huge smile on my face. I was super excited because I just knew Bailey was going to ask for us to come back to Seattle and there was NOTHING I wanted more! "Hey Bailey" Callie was filled with excitement! "Hey girls! its been a bit busy here at Grey-Sloan so I'm just going to cut through the crap." Bailey said in a rushed tone. "ok we are listening" I say while looking back up at Callie. "Would you like to move back to Grey-Sloan? We really need the help and I know you guys could really help around here." Me and Callie looked at each other with big smiles and wide eyes. "YES OF COURSE!" Callie and I were so excited!

Dr.Bailey POV:
Now that I had called Arizona and Callie I felt relieved that they agreed to come back! I booked their 3 plane tickets for next weeks and got them a Hotel for at least a month while they found a place to stay. I was filled with excitement and relief.
