"Perfect." Shoto whispered to himself as he stared at a rain-drenched Katsuki who was giggling at the downpour, illuminated with the dim lights around them.Perfect, everything was just so damn beautiful. Shoto was beyond grateful to whoever god made him have this moment with the man he had adored for the longest time. Heck, he'd even thank his car tires for getting flat.
Perfect, Bakugo looked so perfect. Covered in rain, a beer bottle in hand, eyeliner messed up, hair wetted down, clothes clinging on his body, exposing his figure, smiling at the world like he was the freest man in the world. How could the half and half man not fall? There, his whole world was in one person, his whole world is this one person.
All of a sudden, Katsuki started running towards Shoto's car, making the taller male alarmed. "Kat- Bakugo! Don't run! You're drunk and the pavement's slippery! You'll hurt yourself!"
Bakugo giggled at him. Shoto's face stained with a faint blush. "Fuck, that's adorable. Bakugo's adorable."
"You can call me whatever you want, Icyhot. It's fine if you want to call me Kat."
"...."
"Meow. Kitty Kat!" The blond did a scratching motion as of a cat's, turned then played music through Todoroki's car speakers. "Hey, dumbass. Let's daaaance!" Katsuki flailed his arms in the air like a mindless titan and ran up to Shoto who was sheltering himself from the rain under the hood of an old locked-up house. "You know, you could've just stayed in the car if you didn't want to get wet. You an idiot or something?"
"It's suffocating, Katsuki." Shoto whispered, hugging his knees, voice merely audible enough for Bakugo to hear. Katsuki offered Todoroki his hand and smiled. "Come on, dance with me?"
Who was Shoto to say no? He was a lovesick man, can you blame him for saying yes to a dance offered by a hot rain-drenched drunk blond whom he has loved for, I don't know, forever? You can't, and that's the tea.
Katsuki being the impatient ass he is grabbed Todoroki, as to the half white and half red-headed male's surprise. Todoroki frowned as he felt droplets of rain on his head. "What if I get sick? You're really bad at asking someone to dance with you, Katsuki."
"Don't be a wimp, I'll take care of you if you get fucking sick. But I doubt that, you're not weak right?" Todoroki inwardly wished he'd catch a fever. "And I don't usually ask people to dance, no-brain. I'm the one who gets asked."
Todoroki mustered up all of his courage, it was his turn to hold out his hand. "Well then since you're so bad at this, I'll ask you instead. May I dance with you, Katsuki?" Bakugo smiled at him and took a hold of the other's hand. "Always a yes with you, dumbass Shoto."
Shoto. Bakugo just called him Shoto. Not Icyhot, not Half-and-Half Bastard, not Canadian flag, not candy cane. Shoto. Well, there was still a "dumbass", but it still made Todoroki's stomach feel butterflies.
Fuck, he was so whipped.
"You're so beautiful, Kat." Shoto whispered in the blond's ear. Katsuki held the taller male tightly, their bodies swaying to the background music being played by Shoto's car speakers. Katsuki reeked of the beer he was drinking but Shoto didn't mind, he was far too happy to pay attention to that.
He was so happy, so happy yet so damn sad. The hours made him so fucking sad that even with Katsuki in his arms, Shoto felt his chest get heavier and heavier until he felt like it was suffocating. He knew he couldn't have Katsuki. He knew he wouldn't be able to hold him like this for the rest of their lives and it pains him, so fucking much that it made the halfie bawl out his eyes at Katsuki's shirt.
Katsuki pulled away to look at Shoto when he heard the other sniffle. "Hey, hey. Why are you crying?" Katsuki cupped Shoto's tear-stained face with his cold hands. Shoto held the hands that were placed on hia cheeks and sobbed more. "Katsuki, I don't want to lose you." Shoto cried out.
"What are you talking about, Sho? You're not going to lose me. What's happening to you?" Katsuki asked with concern, his own eyes gazing with sadness when he met Shoto's pained ones. Eyes really don't lie.
"I love you, Katsuki. I love you so much. I love you too much, fuck." Shoto covered his eyes with Katsuki's hands and kissed the other's palms.
"Sho-"
"I'm so afraid of losing you, I don't want to lose you! I've been loving you for so long, why don't you love me back? I'm already yours, Kat. I'll always be yours, why the hell can't you be mine? It's so fucking unfair!"
"Shoto-"
"I love you. I love you. I love you! Why the hell did you spend this night with me? Why of all nights, this one? Why didn't you just celebrate it with your other friends? Why me? It hurts so much, you know? It hurts so fucking much!"
Shoto didn't know what came over Katsuki, it must be the alcohol or something, but man. Katsuki shut him up with a fucking kiss and he felt bliss. Their lips moved in sync, their hands gently caressing each other's faces, feeling the other perfectly as if their bodies were just made for each other, as if their souls were made for each other.
Oh how they wished.
"I love you too, Shoto." Katsuki smiled weakly at him, Shoto returning it. Shoto kissed the blond again, savoring the last moments. This was his last chance to do everything he can and to say everything he wants to say to Katsuki.
"I wish you didn't have to get married, Katsuki." Shoto said, his voice the saddest sounding tone he has ever let out, forehead touching Katsuki's.
"I wish so too, Sho. I wish so too."
