"Hey. You okay?" Izzy jerked, caught off guard.

  "What? Hey, I'm okay. Why?"

"You seem... well... nervous. There really is nothing to worry about," Clary reassured Izzy but that didn't calm Izzy's nerves- though she nodded. Who was calm on their wedding day? 101 things could go wrong. Please don't let anything apocalyptic happen, Izzy begged- she already had her fair share of an apocalypse.

Izzy sighed, Just don't think about it, she thought, as she checked her hair. It was tied into a loose bun that rested at the base of her neck. Izzy must have zoned out- when she went to the wall length mirror to inspect her dress, she realised that Clary was no longer in the room- probably to change. Izzy's dress was white with strips of gold- something to compromise the fact that Simon grew up with white as the bridal color while she grew up with gold as the color.

Just then, her dad's head stuck out of the door. "Isabelle, it's time to go." Izzy gave herself a once-over before heading to the door. Her dad immediately looped his arm through hers. Izzy wished her dad was more fatherly and not always being so official and political.

She wanted some reaction, not the political smile and gestures, she wanted something real; genuine out of him. Sure he did have to be formal every now and then because he could not let his emotions get the best of him, but come on- it was her wedding. Surely it wouldn't hurt. But he said nothing as they walked to the door. The door. Izzy's hands were sweating, she rubbed them on her dress and counted her breaths. The door started to open and now, all eyes were on her.

Izzy took a deep breath and started walking. Tessa, Clary and Maia were in red. Clary basically looked red- hair, dress, shoes, but it wasn't the unpleasant red, it was more of the fire red. Izzy looked at Simon, he was standing awkwardly beside Jace and Alec and was readjusting his tie. He smiled nervously- the edges of his lips lifted when he caught her eye. Just as she stood beside Simon, the vows immediately started and the runes were drawn and they kissed.

But shortly after, the wall at side exploded, sending the people near the wall flying backwards as dust and pieces of concrete started falling.

Izzy immediately took out her dagger that was stuck in between her heels and feet; she could see the rest doing the same.

When the dust finally cleared, Izzy was standing in front of hundreds of... automatons? There was also a man with grey eyes who dressed like one would dress in the 1800s. Izzy heard Tessa grasps and mutter under her breath as she stumbled back, "No. This cannot be happening. It can't. "

"Tessa, dear," the man said, his voice deep and welcoming, as he spread his arms out as if expecting an embrace, "How have you been? It's been a long time hasn't it? I truly hoped that our meeting would be more pleasant but, alas, it is not."

With a beckon from his hand, the automatons charged.
