Chapter 4 A Little Monkey TLC and-Buddha?!

A/N Heyyyy all you lovely readers! I'm so sorry for not posting the past Saturday or Sunday. I had A LOT on my plate. BUT, I did get Chapter 4 done. I'm excited for you all to read! This chapter we see more interaction between our lovely reader and our monkey man. Hope you enjoy!!!!

Previously....

  As the last few bubbles escaped your mouth, your eyesight became bleary. Your eyelids started drooping; the only thing in your mind was your love. Wukong, my love, I'm sorry. The last thing you could make out was a body shape getting closer as it reached out before you lost consciousness.

   You felt weightless, like you were floating. There was a sensation running through your body, a sudden warmness that slowly grew into a dull burn. Traveling to your throat the burning grew to a blaze before it became unbearable.

      Your eyes shot open as your body lurched forward, your lungs screaming at you for air. Sputtering your chest wracked with coughs, ridding your throat and body of any lingering water. You sensed a presence behind you that soon rubbed soothing circles against your back. Finally able to inhale clearly, you greedily take in gulps of air.

     After a couple of moments, your breathing stabilizes. The soothing rubs stopped while the hands moved to your face. Gently cradling your chin, the hand guides your gaze to a face you know all too well. His face furrowed with worry, you watch as his eyes dart around your face looking for any injuries.

      After he finds none his eyes lock with yours. You could always see what he truly felt when you looked at his eyes and right now all you saw was worry, relief, fear, and love. Sun brings you closer and rests his forehead against yours. Closing his eyes he breathes in deeply before speaking,
"Please," he starts, his voice incredibly small.
"...Promise me you will never do something like that ever again."

      Opening his eyes, Sun looks into yours before he adds,
"Please." Bringing a hand up, you place it on his cheek as you lean back. Looking into his eyes you say,
"My love, I'm sorry if I worried you, but I'm not going to stand by if a child is in danger."
He huffs before saying, "Fine, just try to be more careful okay? I.."

      He pauses as his free hand envelops the one on his cheek before continuing,
"I don't know what I'd do if I lost you." Touched, you place a gentle, loving kiss on his cheek. His eyes glowed with adoration as he brought down your hand; pressing a sweet kiss to your inner wrist in return, before he lowered the hands to his lap.

      An enticing aroma wafted to your nose causing you to turn around. Your eyes widen at the sight of an enormous fish being cooked over an open fire. Looking back at Sun, you asked,
"Is that what pulled me under?"
He looked up at you and nodded before smirking and saying,
"Yeah, I thought killing it was fair game since it hurt you."

    The sound of babbling grabbed your attention as you snapped your head to the front of the fish. There laying on the ground was Lieur safe and sound and beside him was the little one. Sun, noticing the reason of your distraction, gently let your hand go. Smiling at him gratefully, you stood up and made your way to her; at the sight of you she squealed happily.

    Chuckling you gently brought your hand to her face. Softly saying,
"Well hello to you too!" Playfully moving your tail in front of her face she laughed when you tickled her. Finding your playtime had tired her, you gently set her back in her basket. Before a sudden noise behind you grabbed your attention.

     A set of coughs sounded to your right, looking down you find-Lieur! Oh thank goodness! Lieur raises up before he notices the fish in front of him; startled at the sight he jumps back, before he sees the figure behind it. Shocked he exclaims,
"Great Sage!" at Sun. Both of you see Wukong positioning a boulder over two branches as he places his shackled arm underneath it.
