Hi! Thank you so much for coming back for part 2! Feel free to let me know what you are thinking!!!!!
He arrived with my dad. It was a bright sunny day. It had been three weeks, the longest he had left us. It was hard, trying to survive on our own. In reality, it was the safest we felt, my brother was able to live and move around the house freely without fear. We would even go to the city park together.
"Dad welcome....home," I stammered as I laid eyes on the most beautiful man I had ever seen. He looked a few years older than me and wore a dark fancy suit. His blond hair curled slightly, his blue eyes widened slightly at me. I had never thought of romance until I saw him. But this man was so unlike anyone I had ever seen. My cheeks instantly heat from the mere sight of him.
"Raul, you never told me you had such a beautiful daughter," he approached me slowly and I felt frozen in place. There was this aurora around him, dangerous and beautiful. Like a snake in trancing you right before it would strike. At the time, I very much wished for him to strike me with those beautiful lips. In a swift motion he took my hand placing a warm kiss on top of my skin. The gesture sent goosebumps over my skin and I pulled away in shock. He let out a low chuckle that made my heart soar.
"Marcel this is Ember my oldest," my father wrapped an arm around me and placed a kiss on my forehead. He held me a bit protectively, pulling me to his side. He seemed like he was in a lighter mood, his mouth twitching into a smile. "Emmy this is Marcel. He is our alpha."
"Alpha?" I say, a bit confused.
"Where is that boy?" my dad's voice boomed causing me to tremble. My eyes flickered to Marcel who was staring at me with an amused look. He seemed rather young to be an Alpha...or what I thought an Alpha was. From what I recalled from what my mom showed me, Alphas were usually very powerful and big. But his eyes carried a knowledge I did not understand. I wish I never had.
"Um Asher isn't feeling well today," I say the over used line quickly, every time dad came home Asher would hide. I would then proceed to try to get my dad into the best mood possible It was usually the best way to keep him safe. I quickly stepped in front of my dad stopping him from going up stairs. "Sit down. I will get him. How about tea? I have some cake in the fridge." I smile widely and hold his hand, "You look tired."
My father looks down at me and his gaze softens. He kisses my forehead. "You are such a sweet girl that sounds lovely."
"My daughter is a wonderful cook Alpha. The boy is a handful but I am sure you will have use of him," my father says leading Marcel to the living room. I go to the kitchen turning on the kettle and taking the cake out of the fridge. I had made it as a gift for Asher's birthday. It was a surprise, I had saved up so long for the ingredients. As the water was heating I rushed up to my room.
"Asher," I called out softly.
His dark eyes gleaned at me from under the bed. He was the spitting image of my father and I knew the idea haunted him. He avoided mirrors. He will be six tomorrow. The age my mother explains our heritage. I had already spilled the beans, but I had left the good parts for today.
I smell someone his voice rang in my head. The connection we had was always open to each other. Being able to talk without speaking was a gift when it came to being near my father.
"We have company, the Alpha. Just stay close to me," I whispered and held him close. I wish father could see him the way I did. He was still my mothers son, we were a family. I straighten out his shirt and wild hair.
You like him? The Alpha? he narrowed his eyes at me. Asher had always been a smart kid, a bit too aware sometimes. I touched my cheeks still feeling the redness in them.
