Theme: Adrian's Missing

😣🌹  TANIA'S POV😣🌹

   It was night and Adrian wasn't back home,I've been staring at his window for close to two hours now and no trace that he's back home. I guess he's not coming home tonight, but where would he stay? Probably with a friend or a relation,speaking of which__maybe he'd stay with his mum,since she doesn't stay here. Poor Adrian!

  As I was about leaving my window side,I caught sight of someone staggering outside Adrian's house with a lady who was almost naked. It was Adrian's Dad,what a father figure__your son isn't home and all you could do was get drunk to stupor and bring home a stripper,no one deserves a father like that. Its so sad Adrian has to live under the same roof with such a man.

   I went downstairs to get a glass of water, I was dehydrated. I got to the refrigerator and poured water into a cup,then Chase showed up. I guess he's mad at me for this afternoon, if only he knew how important Adrian was to me,I mean important like a friend__a good friend.

   "Who is he?!"

  "Uhn??.......who?" I asked.

  "The guy next door,the one whom you took a risk for while you were on treatment, who is he to you?" Chase asked again.

   "Uhm......he's...... He's uhm......a friend..... He's just a friend"

   "Look at you being such a terrible liar__come out clean with me Tan,he's not just a friend"

   "For real__he's a friend and I didn't think he shouldn't he treated that way by his own father,I just lost it and couldn't bare to watch"

   "Yeah,no one deserves a father like that,i hope your friend is fine"

   "Yeah__I hope so too" I said with a shaky voice.

       "Come here" Chase said as he opened his arms wide. I walked up close into his embrace and took a warm hug,it beats differently with your brother.

I got up from bed to the loud ringtone of my phone,I wondered who could be calling. I picked it and the voice was unexpected:

   "Come outsideeeeeeeee!!!!!!

OMG!!! Hailey was here, how did she know my house?!! That's not even important right now,she mustn't see the drip I'm taking and oh my! My room smells like a labour room and i don't look good,my hair and my face__I look terrible aargh!!

   I started to run across the room and i sprayed something nice  then I tied a scarf and the rest as you know is history.

   " Hey Hailey......"

   "Surpriseeeeee!!" Hailey said as she jumped on me and hugged me tight.

  "Well I'm surprised....come in"

  And as I predicted,the only place she wanted to see was my room,okay where else will she wanna see if not my room😅. So I took her there and thank goodness,the atmosphere was better than the ward smell of before.

   "Your room is really pretty and huge" Hailey said as she looked around.

    "Thank you Hail,so how did you know my house?"

  "Eazy Peezy,I'm Hailey__I know everything!"

  "Yeah right,like you know why you still bring those headphones that aren't working to the cafeteria during lunch"

   "Oh! You had to bring that up.......I expected that. Well I got your home address from the principal office,don't ask me how I got it from her office__I won't tell you"

  "I'm not gonna ask__Hail"

   "You know when you say 'Hail'__its really awkward,is that Even a name,cmon!"

  "You don't like the nickname?! What of 'Ley' like the last syllable in your name-Hai_Ley. Its cool right?"

  "What the hell is 'Ley',you su*k at giving nicknames" Hailey said as she laughed.

   After the whole giggling and cracking jokes,Hailey went into the real convo.

    "So what's been going on these last few days,you have not been coming to school?!"

   "I've not been feeling like it,I decided to take some days off and just relax" I hoped this lie was working.

   "Wow,I would do anything to stay away from school for just a day but my aunt would kill me and finish me off with unnecessary work,well its different when you live with your parents"

   "Why are you not living with your parents?" I asked hoping she was going to talk about it this time cos she dodged the question every time.

   "Its a long story which I would tell you another day,I just know every person has a burden to bear,a very sad fate which isn't our fault but who can we blame. Enough with the sad story,there's a story going on at school and you are on the headlinesssssss" Hailey said dragging the 's',she loves parts like this where she tells juicy stuff.

   "And what did the headlines say?!?"

  "Its a funny one,everyone is buzzing about it__they said you and Adrian eloped"

   "Eloped??!! What's that?"

  "Well it simply means_you and Adrian secretly left home to get married someplace far away"

   "What the!!!! Why the hell will we do such a thing,that is a pretty big word and who in the world will bring up such a rumour?!" I asked infuriated.

   "Isn't it obvious__Bianca's puppet cameras"

  "Samantha and Brenda?!" I asked.

  "Yeah those two sly fox"

      "I don't get it,why will they spread such a rumour about me,I wasn't even in school"

   "Well all the more reason because you haven't been in school and same as Adrian,he didn't come the exact days you were absent. You and Bianca's boyfriend have been involved in a twist lately,you live close to each other again and remember I told you that you were already on Bianca's bad side. Technically, she's trying to make you be on everyone's bad side too"

   "This is too much to take in,Bianca's mean and I don't like or admire her anymore seeing how much she wants to ruin my reputation cos of Adrian" I was really mad at Bianca as I thought about what she did.

   "Welcome onboard to the club of Bianca's haters!! Papararan" Hailey said while blowing an imaginary trumpet.

   "Oh shut up Hailey!"

  "Chill girl,speaking of Adrian........Where is he??

  Its been 3 days now and Adrian hasn't come home. I'm worried sick and super mad,like his Dad makes me so mad___your son is missing for goodness sake and you come home drunk alongside a lady or two. Anytime I stare at him,I feel like strangling him,he's pathetic!

   " Where could Adrian be?!"
