"Ohh Skylar!~" Mike called out from the living room.

I stumbled across the room to find Mike. He stood still right in front of me as I held on to the wall for support on the way.

"Yes, Mike?" I asked.

"I have something to tell you!" Mike said in excitement.

I don't know if I could believe him or not. It might be Mark. I must have made a face and ab uncomfortable aura around him, cause he then said, "Don't worry, I'm not Mark. It's me, Mike."

I nodded, unsure of the situation, I still continued with caution. My ears and suspicions wide open.

"And what's the surprise?" I asked. After so I heard him dig into some kind of bag, the sound of rustling paper fill the silent room.

Mike cleared his throat before saying, "I'm gonna take you out on you're first ever- guess it... Date!"

Then something popped, what seemed like a confetti canon, which a loud popping noise made me deaf; following with papers falling to the ground.

I covered my mouth in shock. Mike and I have been together ever since, but he never takes me out on any occasions.

This may be my first and last. But who knows?

"OMG Mike!" I screamed out loud, I then gave him the tightest hug I could give him. When I let go, he made me stood still. He slipped on something around my neck, that's when I realised, he gave me a necklace.

I don't know what's it's design, or what kind of material it's made(Besides it being a metal kind), but I'm sure it's beautiful.

I thanked Mike, but he took a picture of me, telling me to smile. "This will be treasured forever." He said.

After long hours of waiting and getting ready, it was time for the date to begin.

~ ~ ~

He first took me to a restaurant. It may be fancy, considering that there are loud classical music playing in the background, and it isn't as loud as any other public restaurants.

He then took me to a sweet store that was nearby. We ate tons of sweets, mostly chocolates, and we became full of it.

There aren't many places there for him to take me. I'm blind and can't see the world like he can. So for the last destination, he took me to the beach.

Where the waves would splash on our feet, we would run together on the shore, where the seagulls squawk at the night sky. Like I said, I have an imaginative mind, so I'd like to keep all this in my brain.

"It was a fun night tonight." Mike said, as we sit on the sand floor.

"It was, hope you'll take me out more." I tried to stare at Mike's face. Hoping he's staring back at me with his bright or dark eyes.

He chuckled, then giving me a peck on the lips. "I will." He said.

I clapped both of my hands together and pointed at him, "You said it!"

He then laughed at my antics.

I have to admit, the night was only neutral to me. Sure I get to hang out with Mike, and stuff foods in my mouth for the whole night.

But I don't get to see the beauty of the scenery. Life is not all sunshine and rainbows. It also consists of dark and cold things.

I may say this a lot, but I want to see again. See Mike, see myself, see the world. My disability stopped me from doing so.

I took a deep breath and thought all of the things I thought of.

What am I saying?

I should be thankful.

I should be grateful.

I should be felt loved by some people around me.

Some that helped me through my situation.

Mom, Dad, Mike, the little boy, the people who helped me once in the city. And maybe Mark, who lost his own brother cause of me.

I let it call his sacrifice for his brother's love life. But a brutal story.

Let's just say, I wish there was a miracle in life.
