Chapter 5 A Little Monkeying Around Never Hurt

Jolting up Wukong tried to regain his balance, but couldn't with you still snuggled up to him. As he slipped from the branch, he moved his arms to cover and protect you from the fall.

Seeing a sturdy branch above, you uncurled your tail from your lover's body and swiftly wrapped it around the bark. As you did that, Sun's knees caught on another limb. Looking around you found yourself upside down and face to face with-Buddha?!

Both you and Sun were surprised by the sudden face looking at the pair of you. Sun held you as you both fell off the branch. You lost your grip when you saw the unexpected face. On the ground you looked up to see "Buddha" holding the giant fish. Lieur bursted through the bushes exclaiming,
"Great Sage, Y/N, look! Buddha had revealed his magic!"

The supposed "Buddha" looked at Lieur confused mumbling,
"Budd-?" Before he thought of something and he hummed. Straightening his back, "Buddha" held the fish in one hand and held out his left hand in a half prayer position. As you and Sun recovered from the fall and got up from the ground, "Buddha" stated,
"Share your food."

Seeing how close he was, Sun used one arm and ushered you behind him. "Buddha" got closer saying, "Buddha says!" Peeking out from behind Sun's shoulder, your face held an unconvinced and unamused expression. "Buddha" continued with, "Share your food!" Both you and Wukong eyed this "Buddha" up and down neither believing a single word.

Movement from the fish caught your attention; the mouth opened up and an eyeball popped out. The image of the baby girl coming out startled the "Buddha" while you snorted at the scene. The giggling stopped once "Buddha" threw the fish up into the air, you stared in horror as a gasp left you. The baby! You looked left and right before seeing she had landed safely on "Buddha's" belly.

Sighing in relief, you watched in amusement as the baby terrorized "Buddha". Lieur stepped in trying to help before "Buddha's" nose changed. Your eyes widened as you and Wukong looked on in disgust and confusion. Seeing "Buddha" transform into a pig, your face contorted in disgust. After his true form was revealed the former "Buddha" now turned pig, started chowing down in the fish.

You and Sun stared in bewilderment at the scene before you. Lieur thought the pig was going to hurt the little girl as he exclaimed,
"Monster, leave the little girl alone!" Lieur pointed at you and Sun before continuing,
"He is Sun Wukong, the Great Sage, Equal of Heaven! And that's Y/N, the Great Sage's wife!" During Lieur's statement, Sun turned towards you, took your hand, and started walking away.

Finding the events uninteresting, he led you away. If it was any other situation you would've went to get the children, but you knew they would be fine. That pig couldn't harm anything, besides if it somehow did, you wouldn't hesitate.

The pig's choice of words to Lieur's statement, caused both you and Wukong to freeze. "'Great Sage?' Good one," piggy laughed before continuing, "No offense, but that chimp doesn't look 'Great' at anything," Minor misdemeanor, as long as nothing else is said. "And the 'Great Sage's wife'? Really? She's just a regular monkey! I would go around calling myself the Pagoda King!"

Uh-oh. Wrong move piggy. You didn't even have to look at Sun's face to know he was snarling. To disrespect Sun Wukong, was one thing, but to add to the fire by disrespecting his wife? Ohhhhh, that's much, much worse. It's something you wouldn't even wish upon your enemies, so far you're not sure about Piggy here.
