"Maybe someday the sun would rise for us, and maybe someday all the fears would be drowned by our dreams" my boyfriend, Ben, said looking at me straight in the eyes, with a genuine smile that still gives me butterflies.
After our mini date he drove me back to my parents house, before exiting his car I noticed a sad look in his once hopeful eyes, confused I asked him what's the matter, he just shrugged and told me he will miss me very much I giggled and told him that our graduation is just right around the corner and we'll move in together, he smiled and I bid him goodbye.
I was awoken when my alarm go off, I did my routine and headed straight to the school. I was surprised when I didn't see Ben around so I headed straight to my first period, lunch came and Ben never came so I called him several times but much to my dismay, he didn't respond. Day went by, my phone pinged, only to receive a text that broke my heart, it was from Ben, he left me.
My eyes shot open, it had been five years since he left but I can still feel like I'm tied to him and I can't love anyone else. No use in sulking so I got up, did my routine and set up my café.
The day went smoothly and I'm near closing my shop when the bell jingled, I saw the same man I thought I'll never see again, he smiled and moved forward, he spoke with his deep but soft voice, "Hey Sam, it's been a while can I invite you for lunch sometime?" and then everything had stopped.
