A/N: Sorry for being gone for so long! No excuses, just lost the feel with this but I want to finish it as I know what it's like reading an unfinished story but at the same time, I want to give you GOOD quality! So from this point onwards, writing style is going to be slightly different! But I hope you enjoy!

"What's the progress with the scouts?" The young boy that stood in front of me seemed to shake in his stance. The fear just rippled off him and he didn't look that old either. He looked no older than 18.

"They've reported a l-large gathering of rebels to the north, your majesty." As I digested this information, I couldn't help but place my hand underneath my chin, rubbing it slightly as I tried to come up with the best course of action. Looking back up to the boy with hooded eyes, he seemed to jolt upright. I was slightly confused to his demeanour, his obvious jitteriness starting to put Nova and I on edge.

"Is there something you're not telling me? If so, out with it." I ordered, a slight deep gruff sound from the alpha tone coming to light. This seemed to make him gulp, the slight bead of sweat starting to drip down his forehead. He was hiding something and I was determined to find out what it was.

"Well, there have been some scouts that haven't returned." My brow jutted upwards, edging him to carry on with his words before I practically forced it out of him. This was becoming infuriating. "Rumour has it...that some of the scouts have j-joined them." My eyes widened, not expecting this information. If that was the case, then the plan that I had forged was completely foiled. As my hand lifted itself to run through my hair, I waved my hand to the boy asking for him to leave me be in which he did, swiftly.

"What the hell am I going to do?" I grumbled, my head falling onto the desk. If what he said was true, the traitors may have told the enemy of our plans, meaning they would know that we would be expecting them to attack, giving them enough time to plan of a different one. A growl left my lips, a slam from my fist hitting the desk as I raised my head, anger starting to ripple off me and when I noticed Lauren in the office with me, my eyes softened from their once rage filled ones.

"The rage is radiating off you that I'm sure everyone in the kingdom would know the Queen was pissed." She seemed to tease me, the slight giggle leaving her lips as she took a seat on the desk, my hands holding up my head as I tried to not let it fall onto the desk.

"Well I am. Incredibly so..." The growl that started to leave my lips soon faded into a purr as Lauren's hands relaxed me so, rubbing my shoulder blades in order to calm me down.

"What's the issue?" I knew I couldn't hide this matter from my mate.

"Rumour has it that some of the scouts have joined the rebels." The same rage filled expression took over Lauren's vibrant green eyes, seeming to now have a fire raging deep within them, reflecting how I felt not so long ago. "This means that our plan to let the rebels attack the castle is now ruined." Lauren moved to pace in front of the desk, her own eyes clouding in thought, doing the same as me. Trying to come up with the best course of action.

"This wasn't the news we were hoping for."

"Tell me about it." I shifted in my seat, leaning back as I stared at my mate. I knew of one plan that was starting to form in my head. Being ready for an attack or taking the attack to the North where the rebels resided. However Nova didn't seem to like that idea, a growl seeping through her fangs. I had to agree with her. It would put the kingdom and my mate at risk and I couldn't stand to loose either.

But what other choice did we have? We were backed into a corner with our tail between our legs and I hated it.

"We can think about this together but first, we need to think of Dinah and Normani." I looked at my mate with a confused glint in my eyes, a frown taking over my features. As if recognising my confusion, Lauren simply rolled her eyes before coming towards the desk, sitting back down on it in her original position.
