"Goodbye, Mama! 'Bye, Papa!" Abbigale calls through the window of the Hogwarts Express, her eyes flashing nervously between black and blue. She keeps her cheek pressed against the cool window of the train until she can no longer see the station. Sighing, she walks down the long rows of cabins, looking for an empty room where she can let her emotions run free without startling anyone. People were often alarmed when they saw her eyes change color, changing to compliment her mood. They were usually a muddy brown color, but whenever she lost her focus, her true emotions would shine through, exposing herself through her own eyes.
"Hey," she hears, looking to her left to see a cute wizard peeking out of a cabin at her, "You can sit with me," he grins, and her eyes flash pink momentarily, until she composes herself. "I've never seen you before," he states, pulling his legs up onto the seat with him, looking at her closely.

"Oh. Um, my Papa was offered a job in the Ministry," she begins to explain, letting her dark hair shield her face, "We had moved to France when I was a baby, because my mum wanted to pursue her dream of becoming an artist. I was enrolled in Beauxbatons, but they wanted me to continue my education. So, here I am,"
"Okay," the blonde shrugs, extending his hand, "I'm Draco Malfoy," he introduces.
"Abbigale Abbott," is her response. Her cheeks tinge with pink as her eyes flash erratically, taking him by surprise.
"What's wrong with your eyes?" he asks bluntly, and she recoils.
"Nothing is wrong with my eyes, they-"
"I apologize. I misspoke. Why do your eyes change color?"
"My grandmother was a metamorphous. I inherited some of her genes. Because it's only a strand of her DNA, I'm not a full metamorphous. My eyes are the only things that can change, and I'm not able to control it yet. They currently change with my mood," she explains, suddenly embarrassed.
"That is so cool," he grins, brushing her hair away from her face to get a better look at her eyes. "What does pink mean?" he wonders aloud, looking to her for an answer.
"Um. It means... uh...uhm... You're very handsome," she mumbles, down casting her eyes.
"Really?" he grins. "Awesome! So, are you going to be sorted in, or are you going to be directly transferred to a specific house?"
"I'll get sorted in. My mum was in Ravenclaw, but Papa went to school in America. There is a good chance I'll be sorted Ravenclaw, as it's sort of a family legacy on my Mum's side, but it's not definitized,"
"Would they be upset to see you sorted into Slytherin?"
"No. I think they'd be happy as long as I am. Are you a Slytherin?"
"Yep," he grins proudly, puffing his chest.
A loud screech pulls them from the conversation, and they jump up, running out of the cabin to see what the commotion is.
