Their wish was granted. Finally the torn up airship landed in an ordinary town that wasn't suspended thousands of feet up in the air.
Goodtown was a village situated on the side of a giant lake, fishermen spending their quiet days fishing off their boats, stone paths running down the streets lit by lanterns that hung from the roofs of buildings.
It was moderately populated, carefree people walking about in the warm spring morning. The lack of weaponry was a sign that adventuring wasn't a popular occupancy here.
Xander landed their airship in a dock filled with grounded ships, a repair shop nearby. Their ship was an odd one out, the others not nearly as damaged.
Feeling solid ground beneath their feet his two companions let out sighs of relief. Of course, things weren't so simple as suddenly a group of armed officers surrounded them and their airship.
With bayoneted rifles they stopped them, the group making a sight in the carefree town. The commander of the patrol crew stepped forward, his face hidden beneath a large flat cap, wearing a fancy, dark green coat with markings on their shoulder.
"You're lucky your airship wasn't shot down. What are you thinking, flying past the border checkpoint and ignoring it completely? We'll have to detain you lot."
The commander paused, pulling out a identity badge as he added an addendum.
"Also, for your discretion I am Commander Vince Restrede. Please come along without resistance."
"Not so fast!"
Xander interrupted, revealing a document which he showed to Vince, the man squinting as Xander summarized it.
"It's a border pass! Issued from the the adventurer's guild in Lost Julius! With it I can go anywhere I please in Tisia without having to stop at any border checkpoint!"
Vince put a hand on his chin, mulling over what he said, flags raised as he took a look at their mess of an airship. Pointing towards it he stops Xander, continuing his detainment.
"Well your ship is a mess. We'll have to take you in for questioning as to why."
"That seems like an excuse to detain us! Why are you so adamant on wasting our precious time!?"
He wasn't amused, crossing his arms as he snapped his finger, the men of his reacting immediately as they listened to his order.
"Detain them. Leave them in a cell for interrogation later."
Dragged away by two men Xander shouted, making an even bigger ruckus in the once calm city as he lobbed demands. Raymond and Sara were more compliant, them both escorted gently.
"This is an outrage! This is a blatant misuse of your power! You call yourself a warrior of justice!?"
