Your name is Alex. You're a teenage boy aged 18. Your eyes are blood red, reflecting the endless pain that's been dealt to you over the years. Today you'll take your revenge. With sword in hand and helm over your head you rush towards the house. A great cloak billows out behind you, deforming your shadow as you make your way over. There's only two monsters in the building, an easy hunt. One calls out, it's voice feminine, gentle, surely trying to lower your guard. "Alec is that you dear? Are you and your friends ready to eat now?" You briefly consider asking about this Alec but you're sure that the group of friends all died at the "blood fall", your name for the water fall and it's now bloodied decent. You creep along, quiet like a snake, or at least one with no rattle. But the creature is still alert to your movements, you hear it calling out louder. "Come on Alec I know you're there, whatever are you hiding from? Don't tell me you brought the game inside today.." You rush towards it, there's a whistling sound before you're pinned to a wall, a knife through your cloak barely missing your shoulder. "What the?! Honey why would you- ... Alec?" The feminine voice is soon reassured by a deeper, stronger one, it must be the alpha. "That's not our son. I know our Alec. But this... " The smaller reaches for a staff, which begins to gently hum with power. Meanwhile the alpha takes a huge weapon from where it rests as a wall decoration. A halberd. The latter lunges towards your helmeted face, even as you dodge you feel it slash through the weak armor, tearing a chunk out from over your left eye. The two gasp at the sight, shivering slightly where they stand. The female speaks up first. "A-Alec? Is it really you?" They begin to cry, the male keeping his weapon steady ask cautiously. "Son?" You feel a voice welling up inside you, desperate to speak to the monsters. Despite your best efforts it manages a few words. "M-Mum? Dad? Please I can't-" With that you suddenly twist your body, tearing your cloak in many places. With an angry roar the halberd comes crashing down, on the place you just left, slashing through the wooden floor. The creature tries to slam it's body into yours. You glide back and without even thinking raise your blade to it's chest. Before it can fall you've released the monster and made a rush for the other. They release a scream, druidic magic pulsing around them. With a word of power and a slam of their staff waves of flames burst out from them. You reach for your torn cloak and cover yourself with it. The blaze rolls over and past you, the dancing light making your cloak's blood stained gold glimmer. There's a flash of lightning, thunder cracks and roars all around the house. Rain follows, drowning out the screams as your blade plunge's into the witch's chest. Water drips slowly from your left eye. Tears. You rest near the bodies, taking advantage of what little warmth they retain while the storm rages around the house and the blaze within weakens the shelter. You close your eyes, your blood red eyes, and sleep.
