two wandering hearts

 There was then and now.

Before, Fedyor was just one more face in a sea of a thousand ones. But now he's just more than that. He is Ivan's right arm, his heart, probably his soul. His conscience.

But now, we come back to before.

There was a specific day. When everything changed, when Fedyor became more than just a simple face in a sea of thousand more. They were training, all the heartbrender from the second army from Ravka. Fedyor more than the others, make more, giving your attention to the extreme. Ivan knew it, he could see it, he could feel it. Every step, heart beating, every drop of sweat... Ivan was simply connected to him. No explanation... nothing. It's just like their hearts were one.

Ivan stopped, terrified. He used his own power, the little science to control himself. To put his heart in the right way. At least, that was his though.

After that one fatidic day, Ivan avoided him.

In every training, every lunch on the great dinner place from Little Palace.

Even when Fedyor was trying to be kind, gentle, just himself.

After a few days, they were alone. Not completely lonely, but at the hall.

"Do you really hate me?", Fedyor 's voice was like a punch.

"wh-What? It's an unrealistic idea. Where did it come from?", despite his words, kept walking. He was trying to keep himself more distant from Fedyor, from those lovely eyes. For god sakes! To the hell with all that.

Ivan thought he could escape, but Fedyor touched him. Fedyor's fingers across his fist. There was nothing that a corporalki could do to disguise his heartbeats. And Fedyor felt it. And he looked at Ivan's face confused, like the equation was wrong. Cause, a few seconds he was right that Ivan hated him. But his heart told a different truth. Probably the real truth.

"What was that?"

"Nothing. Get your hand off me"

"Ivan, wait!", Fedyor didn't take his hand off his fist. He slid his fingers until they touched Ivan's. It was just a moment. A beautiful moment. Ivan took a breath, and Fedyor too.

In a flash Ivan felt his lips pressed against Fedyor's, a not so soft kiss. But a great one! Hands touched bodies, lips pressed it others, the tongue opening a space between wet lips.

There were things you couldn't get away from, not for long. That was one of these things.

Passion, desire... two wandering hearts that beat in the same tone.

That day until now, all the heartbeats that Ivan lost control of, the one guilty was your love, Fedyor.
