Luke's Only Hope

"Luke there is someone who you should find, they can help you train to become a Jedi Knight, if something happens to me." Obi-Wan Kenobi, Old Ben told young Luke Skywalker.

"I thought you were the only Jedi left?" Luke asked confused

"There are two others left. The one that I think you should find is Emelia Galloway, if after you tell her your name she doesn't immediately agree tell her I sent you." Old Ben explained to Luke.

"Who is she Ben? Why is she so important?" Luke demanded to know.

"Emelia Galloway is the strongest Jedi, to have survived what she has. She knew your father very well." Ben then started to tell Emelia's story

Emelia Galloway was only a youngster when she met Anakin Skywalker. She was younger than many of the others. Yoda found her on Balmorra as a baby, he felt her power and knew she should be raised in the Jedi way.

Emelia was raised on Tython by the Barsenthor for the most part on the planet. At one point Anakin and Obi-Wan visited Tython for a mission. Emelia met Anakin and was immediately attached to him.

No one is entirely sure why they were drawn to each other. Yoda thought that it might be because they both had such a high midichlorian count. Anakin took her under his wing and treated her like a daughter. She was introduced to Padmé, and thought of her as a mother.

They had to hide their familial relationship from the Council, the only one who knew was Obi-Wan. Emelia was the first one to know about Anakin and Padmé's feelings for each other. Yes she knew of the rules about relationships, but she very much approved of them falling in love and marrying each other.

They were all very happy together on Coruscant. That is until Darth Vader attacked. All the younglings were killed, except Emelia. The only council members that survived were Obi-Wan and Yoda. Emelia was devasted when she heard what had happened to Padmé and Anakin.

She went into hiding with Obi-Wan on Tatooine. She helped him look after Luke, while staying hidden. He also finished her Jedi training, and she became very strong. Once she finished her training, she decided to leave Tatooine.

She could no longer watch over Luke from the shadows, she needed time to grieve on her own in seclusion. She promised Obi-Wan that she would come out of hiding when it was time to confront Darth Vader, or when he called. When she left Tatooine she went to Alderaan to check on Leia.

She felt that she owed it to the man Anakin had been, to look after his children. If Palpatine hadn't gotten his claws in Anakin her life would be completely different. She would have been raised as Luke and Leia's older sister. Padmé and Anakin might have been able to secretly adopt her like they had originally planned and helped her find her family.

She spent quite a few years on Alderaan helping to keep Leia out of trouble. Leia became quite the little sister to her. After leaving Alderaan Emelia went to Corellia to hide out until it was time to help out her family.

While on Corellia she heard some rumors about who her birth family might be and she was very upset at Obi-Wan for keeping it from her.

"Emelia was the angriest I'd ever seen her, and she rarely gets angry." Ben was explaining to Luke

"Why was she so angry at you?" Luke was confused

"Her grandparents were very important people in Jedi history, she should have found out about them but it was hidden from her." Ben said

"Who are they?"

"Doesn't matter, the point is you need to find her if something happens to me. Promise me Luke, promise me you will find her." Ben pleads with Luke.

"I promise."

*Dagobah*

"Luke Skywalker you should not be here. You have yet to find Emelia." Yoda says to Luke

"I don't know how you know that, but I need to train with a Jedi Master before I can find her." Luke responds

"You do realize that she is a Jedi Master, yes?" Yoda asks

"Look I know that I am breaking my promise, but I have to get stronger before I face her. I don't know how I'm going to face her knowing that I couldn't help Ben. She'll be furious with me." Luke's vulnerability shows.

"Child you do not understand how wrong you are."

Yoda does help Luke train. Yoda understands why Luke is doing what he is doing, but he is also very disappointed.

"Why did you send him here? He needs to go see her, he is not ready to train." Yoda speaks to the Force Ghost beside him.

"I could tell he wasn't ready to face Emelia so I sent him here instead. It's bad enough he doesn't know about his father, but to through his unofficial sister at him. He is too much like his father." Obi-Wan sighs

*Just before Luke goes to help Leia and Han*

"If you must go, I request that you go get Emelia's help." Yoda sees Luke about to protest, "Luke she can help you, and she cares for Leia greatly, go to her Luke Skywalker."

Luke finally gives in and goes to find Emelia Galloway. He flies as fast as he can with R2 and heads towards Corellia before going to the Cloud City to help his friends. Once he gets to Corellia there is someone waiting outside his ship. The someone had long red hair, a mask over their eyes and had two purple lightsabers at their side.

"Luke Skywalker, I have waited a long time for you to show up here." This was Emelia.
