Step by Step

Capítulo 1

It's friday night, the house it's almost empty and you're feeling lonely by being the only person in your floor. You go downstairs to see if your roommate it's still awake.

"Hey!" - He's at the living room watching tv. - "The house is too quiet, I'm not used to it. Also it's too dark."

You start to think that you said too much. He looks at you and gives you a smirk.

"You? Afraid of dark?" - Jonghyun laughs.

"I'm just not used to it ok? I can't sleep in my room, it's too... different. I'm going to sleep here in the couch. Don't mind me" - You covered yourself with your blanket while lying there.

"Ya! Don't be like this, your back or neck will hurt tomorrow. Go to someone's room, like.... Minhyun's room is right in front of mine and I bet it's pretty clear."

"Are you sure I can go there?"

"Yes! He wouldn't mind at all. Go on!"

"Ok, thanks!" - You got up with the blanket on your back.

"Don't thank me, girl. I'll let the lights on here, by the way."

"Ok, I'm not a baby, JR! Please!" - You looked at him rolling your eyes. - "It's not like I'll cry or something."

"But the way you said..." - He smiled - "But I'll do it anyway, I know you'll feel safer." - Jonghyun said watching you go. - "And my door will be open too..." - You looked back at him with a skeptical look. "....just in case if you need me.... to kill some ghosts or cockroaches".

"Night, JR. Night!" - You closed the door on him while he was silently laughing at you.

The night went pretty well, you two slept like babies. No ghosts. No nothing. Saturday passed so fast since you were pretty busy in your own room doing your papers and studying for an exam. You and Jonghyun barely looked at each other during the day, the moment you finally said some words to him was when you were going back to Minhyun's room to sleep that night. It was almost 2am when you heard some weird noises coming from outside and since your window faced the street you could hear clearly two men talking about opening the door or finding another way. You got up fast and tried to not make any noise and went to JR's room.

"JR!!" - You whispered opening the door. Your heart was beating so fast. - "JR please! JR!" - You touched his feet.

"Hm? What?" - He could barely open his eyes but the moment he realized it was you, he woke up and sat on the bed, wearing his boxes and an old white t-shirt, full of holes. - "What?" - He rubbed his eyes.

"There's someone outside our house. They're trying to get in. I heard them talking about opening the door or finding a way to access the house."

"Are you sure?"

"JR, I'm absolutely sure. Why would I make this up??? And wake you up for th-..."

"Yeah, yeah sorry..." - He interrupted you. - "I just.... ok, let me think. Call the police, I'm going to turn on all the lights, you do the same while you call them."

You did what he said and went downstairs to see him but you two could still listen to the guys.

"I don't think it's working, JR!" - You were holding your phone and your hands were shaking.

"I have another idea, wait!"

Jonghyun made the alarm to go off and do that loud noise, it scared them a little bit but not much as the sound of the police coming. The guys ran away, the police didn't see them, unfortunately. Seconds later, the police officers went to the house and did all the protocols with you two. You were still shaking at that moment but you didn't know if it was because of the situation or because it was so cold.

Jonghyun walked the police officers off and came back to you sitting in the couch looking at nowhere, having so many thoughts but at the same time with an empty mind.

"Hey! Are you ok?" - He sat next to you.

"Yes" - You took a deep breath. "I've never experienced something like this, I'm just..."

"You're still scared, right?"

"Yep." - You looked at each other. "I mean, I'm glad nothing happened and that I actually woke up before everything, but still."

"I know." - He was going to say that he wasn't feeling safe there but he thought about having to be there for you, to be at your side and make you feel safe. - "I'm a little bit scared too, I'm not gonna lie. But yeah, I'm happy that you woke me up and that nothing happened to us." - He gave you a smile.

"Yeah."

"Hey!" - He tried to cheer you up touching your arms. - "Let's try to get some sleep. And oh you're really cold! Let's go!" - You looked at him but didn't move. - "Come on!! You can sleep in my room! I don't snore, I'm promise!". - Jonghyun gave you such an inviting look that you couldn't resist, especially because you were too tired to argue.

"Fine. I'm gonna get my blanket."

"I'll make your bed then."

A/N: It's been years I don't write anything, so many years. But I had to put this idea out of me. Also, english is not my first language so you'll see some mistakes and a lot of repetead words lol this is challenge to me so I'm gonna try it. And last but not least, I already have 3 chapters and I don't know where I'm going with or if I'm going but enjoy it I guess ^^
