It was a rainy morning, I was woken up by the dreadful sound of my alarm clock. I groan as I pull my blanket off me and push myself out of bed, making my way to the bathroom to freshen up before heading to my job at the local cafe.
I usually don't eat breakfast in the morning, so this was normal for me. I slipped on my uniform, got my keys and headed to my motorcycle. I could've walked to work like I usually do but something was urging me to bring it along today.

As I arrived at the cafe for my opening shift, I ran into my manager.
"Y/N, good morning! How are you today?" Nikki asked in a happy tone, more cheerful than usual.
"I'm doing good, still a little tired but the ride here definitely helped. You sound more excited than usual, what's up with you?" Y/N replied.
"I have a date tonight, I met him at a club last night. We kind of hit it off." Nikki said with a smile on her face as she unlocks the front door to allow Y/N to come in.
"I'm happy for you Nikki, you haven't been on a date in a while. I hope it goes well," said Y/N as she parks her bike and heads over to the door.
"I think it will go well, I'm excited about it. However, I need someone to cover my closing shift tonight. Do you think you could?" Nikki asked Y/N, knowing she had nothing to do tonight.
"Fine, I can cover you tonight. However, you owe me lunch," replied Y/N as she sighed, giving in to Nikki's request.

The day continued, Y/N served customers and eventually had that lunch with Nikki. She wouldn't shut up about how nice this guy was, I was genuinely happy for her. It reminded me that relationships in general never go well. Well, for me at least. I shook off the thought to prevent thinking about it and got back to work.

Nikki eventually left to go get ready for her date, she thanked me once again and I decided to clean up the cafe a little since it was almost closing hour. I was wiping a table when the bell ringed, signalling another customer has entered. I looked up at him, half of him was burnt. His piercing blue eyes made me freeze in place. He was gorgeous. I wanted to comment on it but it wasn't my business.
"Hello. I know the cafe is about to close but could I get a Chai Latte?" said the man in a raspy, sexy voice. Catching me completely off-guard, instead of words coming out of my mouth I nodded and walked behind the counter.
"Four dollars & 20, please," I said, clearing my throat.
He handed me the money and I made his drink. Something about him made me so curious but also just from the looks of him, I knew he was bad news. That didn't stop me from hoping I would see him again.
"Large Chai Latte!" I called out to him, to pick up his drink.
"Thank you, Darling," he said with a smirk as he grabbed his drink and did a little wave as he left the building.

He left me speechless. All I could think about was his little smirk and him calling me darling? What an intriguing guy. I highly doubt I'll see him again, so I decided to stop zoning out thinking about this stranger & close up for the night.
I locked the door and headed for the staff parking lot.

I hopped back onto my motorcycle, starting the engine and driving onto the road. The wind and stars were so refreshing, I forgot how time stops when I'm on my bike. It clears my head, It makes me happy. I took a detour home to enjoy the city at night. I soon arrived at my apartment complex, parking my bike and heading up to my apartment.

I walked up the stairs, reaching my front door. Unlocking it and throwing my keys on the counter after taking off my shoes. I was exhausted. I just wanted to sleep, excited to see what would happen tomorrow.
But I wasn't prepared of what was about to happen..

That night. I became addicted to that stranger.
