He changed me(A Hugo x Varian story)

Chapter 5

Hugo and Farito walked for a while until Hugo spotted the princess.

Hugo: Is that princess Rapunzel?

Farito: Yes, didn't think she would be back this soon. She was on some sort of journey when she left.

Hugo pushed Farito to the push. Farito was angry but he stayed silent. He pulled Hugo to the bush as well.  A guard came up to Rapunzel.

Guard: Your majesty. Welcome back. I regret to inform you that four of the prisoners have escaped, including Andrew and Varian.

Hugo got angry again. Rapunzel got nervous. It seemed like she gave up on Varian, and was more scared of him. She knew Varian was not going to listen to her. 

Rapunzel: Set out a search party! Make sure they don't do anything bad! 

Hugo: I know he's a bad person

Farito: Way to admit it.

Hugo: Yup.

The guard left to start the search party.

Hugo: We need to find Varian.

Farito: The guards will probably get to him first!

Hugo: I have my way.

Meanwhile Andrew and the Saporia's  was planning what they were going to do along with Varian. Varian didn't want to work with them anymore. But he still wanted revenge. But more than revenge, he wanted his father back, which they promised. Varian hid his guilt and doubt from them.

Andrew: You almost done kid?

Varian: Yep...just need a touch of Flynnolium and-

Andrew: Leave the alchemy to the alchemists.

Varian: Alright..

Farito and Hugo were were going to old corona to check there. Hugo pointed at Varian's house, which was surrounded with broken metal.

Hugo: That it...?

Farito: Yep...

Hugo: Come on.

Farito: Very likely everything is locked.

Hugo broke a window. Varian and Andrew were upstairs, so nobody noticed. They climbed in. they broke into the room with the Saporians and Varian.

Andrew: What are you two doing here! Varian! Get them!

Varian: But-

Andrew: Varian!

Hugo attacked Andrew. One of the Saporians grabbed him.

Saporian: Help us out varian! You don't wanna dissapoint your dad again? Do you?

Varian stood still. He went quiet,

Hugo: They are only using you Varian! They won't help you free your father! If they were going to they would have done it by now!

Varian thought for a moment. Then took out a yellow ball that could explode on them. 

Varian: Let him go!

Hugo bit the Saporian. Another Saporian blocked the door. Farito was punched him until Hugo threw a knife at him. It missed, but gave them an escape opportunity. The three ran out. They hid in a bush. Hugo told Varian to stay quiet. Varian nodded in agreement. Hugo gave a knife to Varian.

Hugo: Just incase they try to take you. Ok.

Varian: Th-thank you..

Hugo: No problem.

Suddenly a guard walked by.

Guard: Where is that kid.

The three stayed silent.

Guard 2: Check everywhere. And be on the watch, they are still dangerous.

Hugo grabbed Varian and Farito's arms.

Hugo: We have to go now!

Farito: Yeah, and then get caught!

Hugo pointed at a hiding spot and whispered they could make it. Farito agreed. They managed to get to the hiding spot. Varian whispered and apology to Hugo and Farito. Hugo told him it was fine, while Farito told him it wasn't the time. The guards couldn't find them. They were mainly searching for Varian, and decided to search another town

Hugo: That was a close call.

Farito: How long are we gonna keep this up?

Hugo: Until we can free Varian's father.

Varian: I tried the princess's hair and it didn't work..

Hugo: You have to trust me, ok?

Varian: Ok..

Hugo: Come on.

Varian Followed Hugo to Hugo's place.

Varian: This your place?

Hugo: Yep.

Varian: Its a nice place..!

Hugo: Thank you.

Varian smiled, feeling something towards Hugo. He couldn't figure it out though.

Hugo: You guys seem tired. I have two bedrooms.

Farito: Well frick-I call dibs on one bed!

Hugo: Well one of the rooms has bunk beds.

Farito: You two have it!

Hugo: Alright then.
