Well, diary, nothing much going on today. Except that Sally told me that she heard that Pete Dierson likes me. I have had such a huge crush on him since last year, so if he DOES like me, that is amazing! Unless, and I can't believe I am even thinking this, Sally is lying. I'm pretty much a nobody, why would anyone like me? And why am I even putting something like this in you? God, I really hope no one ever sees this. So embarrassing.
Mom says we need to go dress shopping this weekend, because prom will be coming up the end of the month, and she says I should go. Nobody has asked me, so why? I know she went to every single school dance when she was my age, but she was getting asked. I don't think she knows how horrible it would be to go to something like prom alone. Yeah, I could try going with a group, but that is a great way to get singled out as the loser no one wanted a date with. Yeah, I know, there are more important and way more devastating things going on in the world, like that virus that is starting to spread in Europe somewhere (I guess it's in, like, France, or something, I dunno for sure). It's making people sick with rabies, I think. I'm not really sure, I don't watch the news, it's all stuff I've heard Mom and Dad talking about. Okay, I think I've done enough for today with you, I have math (UGH!) and I can't get a failing grade in that. I'm barely pulling a C now. Talk to you tomorrow.
