(Piper's POV)
-beep, beep, beep-
I was startled by the sound of my alarm going off. I reach over to my phone and try to turn off the blaring sound without opening my eyes. After a few seconds of unsuccessfully turning it off, I finally open my eyes and reach for my phone.
August 9, 2021....
AUGUST 9TH!!!
Alex is getting out today, I finally get to see my wife. It's been a long, hard 4 years but we did it. After Alex got transferred I moved to Ohio to be closer to her. I am still working at Starbucks, got promoted to a manager. I live in a small apartment just outside of town, Alex and I decided that we weren't going to buy a house until she was out. Over the last 4 years Alex and I would have our daily calls and weekly visits. But today, today was different. Today I am going to hug and kiss my wife.

I thought to myself I should get going. I get up, shower, eat some breakfast and then get dressed. I decided to wear something nice for Alex. I put on a cute white summery dress and some black boots. Grab my purse and phone and I'm ready to go.
I pulled in the parking lot of the prison at 11:45, Alex told me noon but I always like to be early. For some reason I'm nervous, why am I nervous? It's just my wife. I try to call my nerves as I wait. I see other people waiting by the prison doors so I decide to join them. I grab the bouquet of flowers I got Alex and bring them with me. She's not a big flower person but I thought she would appreciate them.
Ten minutes later I see the prison doors open and inmates start coming out, there are too many people in front of me and I can't find Alex. I try standing on my tippy toes to get a better view but fail. I accept my defeat and wait until people in front of me move. I turned to the side to let some people by and then I felt a tap on my shoulder. I whip my head around to see the most beautiful women I've ever seen.
"ALEX" I scream as I practically jump on her and give her a bone crushing hug.
She picks me up by my butt and carries me away from the crowd to the fence. She puts me down with her hands still on my ass. I won't let her go, I keep hugging her and start to cry into her shoulder.
"It's okay, I'm here now, let it out." She says while rubbing my back to try to calm me down.
After I've calmed down I pull away from the hug and look into her eyes, she wipes the tears from my face.
"How about we go before they decide to take me back in there." Alex laughs, ugh her laugh makes my heart melt.
I shake my head and grab her hand and walk to my car. As soon as we got to the car I pushed her up against it and wrap my arms around her neck. Pulling myself up and kissing her aggressively. She instantly kisses me back, it starts to get more and more intense. We are now full on making out and I know there are people staring but I don't care, she's mine. Alex finally breaks the kiss and smiles.
"I would love to make out with you more but I'm starving so let's go get food." I agreed so we got in the car.
"So where do you wanna go eat now that you are a free women?" I ask
"Umm i don't know i haven't really thought about it, i was mostly focused on you."
"I know a place."
With that, i put the car in reverse and started to drive away from the prison, this time not sad because I had to leave my wife but happy because I have her with me. Alex grabs my hand as I drive and never let's go.
