I was surprised that I had spent my whole morning here with Jimin. One hour had turned into two then three then the next thing I knew it was an hour before my shift. We had spent the morning discussing everything from music to books to movies to places he's traveled and places I would love to go. He was surprisingly good company. I figured a pretty boy like he would have been bland or cockier and self-obsessed but he was anything but that. He was a great listener and was so kind.
"I'm actually sorry to cut this short," I pick up the long emptied coffee cup, "But I have to work." I sigh.
"Ah work," Jimin smiles standing up, "Where do you work?" He takes the cup from my hand and tosses them into the trash.
"A shop down the block," I smile as I scoop up the daisies in one hand and pull my bag over my shoulder, "It sells all sorts of high-end items. I think you would like it." I comment after hearing about his love for fashion.
"Sounds nice." He adds, walking beside me. I nod as we leave the coffee shop. We walk together in silence down the block. It's pretty awkward and I knew it would be this way. It's like now that we've left the space of the coffee shop everything is different. We're back to being just a retail worker and an idol who happened to cross paths and we have both realized that. That's all it was meant to be anyway was just us getting coffee and crossing paths this once.
We cross the street and stop right outside the shop, "Well here's the shop," I pause, "Thanks for the coffee and the flowers." I hold up the flowers.
"Of course," Jimin smiles, "It was lovely spending my morning with someone like you."
I roll my eyes, "You're just saying that."
"Ana," He starts and reaches for my free hand, "I would spend every morning with someone like you if I could." I fight the urge to eye-roll at yet another one of his corny lines.
I look away blushing, "You don't mean that." I say and go to pull my hand away to head inside.
Instead, he pulls me in and kisses my cheek, "I'll call you soon," He says pulling away, "Goodbye Ana." He winks and spins on his heels to head in the direction we came from.
"Alright bye," I call after him, watching him disappear into the crowds of people for the last time.

I hear the door of the shop open, "Oh sorry we're actually closed right-" I stop when I see it's Stella walking in, "What are you doing in here? You know you have to wait outside while I close the shop."
"It's boring and getting dark because you're taking too long." Stella whines, "How was your date with Jimin?"
I sigh, "It wasn't a date and it was not great."
Stella frowns, "Why wasn't it great?"
"He was late first of all." I grab my purse and the flowers from behind the counter.
"So?" Stella questions, "He's a busy idol with a lot of things to do. I'm sure he didn't mean to be late."
"I know but he was." I huff, it may have been nice talking to Jimin after a while but I can't tell Stella that because she'll want me to pursue that relationship and it's not something I want.
"Wait," Stella stops me in my tracks as I continue to pack things up, "Did he get you those flowers?"
I roll my eyes, "Yes as an apology for being late."
