It's been months since you've made the journey to this house, but the route was still familiar enough that you knew exactly how to get there. Even in the messy state you were in.
You felt bad going to this person, especially since you haven't talked to her in a ridiculous amount of time, but you truly had no idea who you were supposed to bug in the middle of the night. You certainly couldn't call your parents right now, and the only other people you wanted to talk to were members of EXO.
You look up at the street signs, checking to see if you were in the right area, and sigh with relief when you come across the right one. She only lived a few houses in, at least she did a few months ago, so you were there in no time.
You stop outside of the wooden gate and stare at it, wondering if you were making the right decision. It didn't seem right to use the girl like this, but the two of you had once been so close...
When she and Chanyeol were together, the four of you spent the majority of your free time with each other, and you truly liked her. She was someone that you were really close to back then, and you enjoyed having her around.
When the two of them broke up, it was natural for the two of you to drift apart, considering you still spent a lot of time with Chanyeol and the boys. Though the breakup was mutual, Chanyeol would still get a little upset whenever her name was brought up, and he eventually asked you if you could not talk about her with him. You understood that it was hard for him to move on from her when she was always mentioned, so you put some distance between you and her for the sake of your friendship with Chanyeol... While the two of you still talked here and there, it was obviously nothing like it used to be.
You wondered how good of an idea it was to drag her back into the EXO world after all this time...
You ring the doorbell before you can talk yourself out of it and hold your breath. You had no idea what time it was, and you hoped she was still the one who lived here, and you weren't waking up some poor family in the middle of the night.
When the gate swings open and you see your old friend rubbing at her tired eyes, you release the breath you're holding and offer her a small smile. "Hey, Miyoung..."
"Y/N?" she asks, blinking a couple of times. The more she starts to wake up, the more surprise you see growing on her face. You could only imagine what was going through her mind right now...
"Sorry for randomly showing up here so late, but I didn't know where else to go..."
Alarm quickly grows on her face. "What do you mean you didn't know where else to go? Are you okay? Are you in trouble? Where's Baekhyun?"
You flinch when she says his name, and one of her eyebrows rises. Silently, she moves out of her doorway and waves a hand for you to come in. You slowly walk into her yard, and she swings the gate shut behind you before quickly heading into her house.
You trail behind her as nerves set in. Now that you were here, you had to talk about what happened, and you didn't know if you were ready for that.
"So, what exactly are you doing out by yourself at two in the morning?" she asks you as she sinks into her couch.
You take a look around the room in an attempt to prepare yourself for the conversation you are about to have and realize not much has changed, except for the pics of her and Chanyeol that used to be scattered around it. They were obviously no longer framed.
"Y/N?" she asks, pulling you out of your thoughts.
"I just..." you pause before turning to face her. "I needed to escape for a little bit... and maybe I need some advice... but first, how have you been? Are you doing good?"
