Blood Ice

With so much pressure on the thin ice Katie was certain it was going to crack, but she had to get across or she would freeze to death. She didn't want to die a slow and painful death .With so much pressure the ice finally gave in cracks formed like spider webs under her small feet then all she could feel a second of cold air ,her ice blond hair spiralling across her face and creamy white skin and to any passer a shock of wide emerald green eyes being circuses by the dark blue water. Her hand grabbing the very end of the webbed ice only for it to leave a tear the flesh of her hand leaving blood to ooze out of her hand in to the now redding water surrounding her. Her struggle to get to safety a failed attempt . Growing tired and cold Katie gives up and took a breath... A mixture of blood and water filled her lungs.she closes her eyes for good to never see family or friends leaving them wondering what her life would of been but could never happen .
No one found her till that spring when the blood ice melted to show here youthful face at peace. When that blood ice melted they all found piece in knowing she was found and she was buried in the spring surrounded by red roses as red as the ice that took her from the earth to only return her when she was found.
