The sun rises as it gleams extremely across the wasteland, heating what its lightness touches. Within a couple of minutes, whatever the sun hits it takes its coolness away and coats it with metaphorical lava, but still has its physical burning ability. The earth absorbs the heat intensively and fires it to whoever dares step on it, but when you place your bare foot out there, regret would be the only thing written over your face. If the environment had a voice, the greatest advice it would give you is "Don't tread on me."2060, the present year, is also the time where many humans finally acknowledged how rapidly the climate is changing and are finally acting upon it now... while the people of this time would have preferred if things were dealt with strictly years ago, then they wouldn't be living in an apocalypse dealing with your past bullshit.
Heatwaves are annoyingly common now, it's really difficult to avoid and is extremely painful for any living being coming into contact with. For most survivors, staying indoors, avoiding contact with the sun is the two top pieces of advice you could give, but one crucial thing to know about living on this wasteland is to not trust a soul in times of hardship like these, for your vulnerability would be exposed in the process, likely leading to your end.
Hold on to your umbrellas, for everyone is a vampire-skinned sensitive being. This journey is about a family trying to survive in difficult times, but it's more. We sacrifice things sometimes to please who we love or even fight when we come to decisions we disagree on. Living in the driest of times, but still finding that drop of serenity from those around you and from yourself. Don't be too resentful or heated, because just like the sun people would avoid you and when the sunset hits, that's when they come out.
