Without further ado, here is the other half of the previous chapter. It would have been one heck of a long update, so you get two in just a couple days! I hope you are enjoying the story!
Happy Reading!

Loki's emotions were a tangled mess as he moved through the palace. He didn't even bother teleporting, he didn't know where to go. He felt guilty for what happened with Thor and yet, somehow justified. His brother had behaved even worse than he had expected. He was confused over the new magic and felt betrayed by the actions of his friends. Not to mention the daunting prospect of being elevated to heir apparent. He scrubbed a hand over his face and hesitated as he found himself standing outside the garden.
He needed to see Kenna. As badly as he knew he should leave her in peace, he would find none of his own until he saw her. The strange foreign magic still tingled at the edges of his senses and he needed to ground himself so he could banish it and focus. He turned the corner and spotted her, crouching over a bush with delicate silver flowers that reminded him of her hair. The dimming glow of twilight reflected off the blooms that were as metallic as her hair.
"Loki," Kenna said his name in surprise as she climbed to her feet. She had been worried since he left her for Jotenheim. With no option to help him, she had worked relentlessly the entire time he was gone so she wouldn't drive herself crazy with worry. Her black eyes quickly scanned Loki's body, taking in his blood stained armor. She took a tentative step towards him.
"I-" he started to say and he looked away. Suddenly standing before Kenna made him feel incredibly vulnerable. There was so much happening that he had no control over. He just wanted to control one thing. To have one thing of his own.
Kenna took a step towards him. She could see Loki's hands were shaking and the need to help him pushed past the power that contained her. Something had happened and Loki needed her. "Tell me," she said taking another step closer to him and all that she was shown out of her eyes.
"Thor-" he started to say and he looked away. He was being weak, it was weak coming here and putting this all on Kenna's shoulders, but he didn't want to be alone. And after all that had happened, he felt so alone. When he saw her, pushing past Sigyn's power in the collar he couldn't help himself. He just wanted something. He reached out and gripped the collar in his fist, he poured his power into it and the mechanism clicked and fell open into his palm. He needed his Kenna regardless of the consequences.
Loki waited as she recovered, watching her emotions play across her face as she regained control. She froze, her hands balled into fists as she absorbed it all. When she lifted her eyes there were tears swimming in their black depths, but it wasn't from the pain. Kenna blinked away the tears as the emotions roiling through Loki filled her chest.
"Loki-" she whispered his name. They were tears for Loki.
Loki looked away from her, ashamed of his weakness. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have-" he began to say, looking down at the copper collar in his hands, but Kenna stepped closer to him, cutting him off.
Kenna was surrounded by Loki's emotions and she tried to sort through them, but they didn't make sense. Fear and guilt and agony and want and betrayal...they all jumbled together and made her chest tight with the anxiety of carrying them all. She needed to help him.
"Thor has been banished," Loki filled in to answer the question he could see shining out of Kenna's eyes.
"Loki," she whispered his name and took a step towards him. If Thor was banished because of the plan they had concocted Loki would never forgive himself. It also meant Loki was the next King. It meant-
