The alarm clock rang, indicating that it was time for Seha Lee to wake up. However, he was already up. Or rather, he had only slept for a few hours last night and woke up around the dawn. Whatever the case, he was sitting on the floor with his back against the bed, playing on a gaming device. This was Seha Lee ever since high school in Lungmen began, showing that this was him for the past four years of his life.

He lived alone, with money being wired to him by his deadbeat mother who only decided to take him in legally to boost up her reputation of having a son who was also very capable in Originium Arts. Originally, he was abandoned as a child with his sister, found and raised by Infected in the slums since his mother had a very important position in Lungmen as a political figure official. Not wanting it to ruin her reputation and career, she had left them. She had then taken legal action to bring him under her care again around mid high school year. That had caused many others to be wary of him.

Game Over

He sighed as the alarm clock rang just as he lost the game. He looked at it. 6:15 AM. He would normally be playing games around this time till 7 AM on a normal school day, but that life was over for him. He had just graduated two months ago, if he recalled correctly. Regardless, this was the next part of his life his mother had planned for him. He got up and placed down the gaming device in his hands and plugged it in to charge it. Then he went to the door, where the casual black LGD department uniform was hanging. He stared at it for a while before walking over and taking it as he got dressed.

"Ugh.. it just had to be today, didn't it?"

As he got dressed, he grabbed his weapon. It was given to him after an inspection by one of the people who worked at the LGD. Most people were just given a gun and modern officer weapons if they didn't apply to use their own weapons, but this was Seha's weapon. Approved and handed back to him by the LGD. While it was uncommon, he was proficient with it. He paused as he was about to exit, looking back at the shelf. He still had some time before the orientation started. Walking to a shelf, he picked up a picture frame upon arriving with it showing a younger him next to a girl by him. She was no longer with him. The photo within the frame was old and crumbled at the sides, meaning the photo was old. However, that was all he had of her. He set down the picture and and a slight huff, walking back out the door.

"Yeah, I'll try to pay attention today... Sis."

At the LGD...

"Since Mister Smartypants over there wants to keep distracting himself with video games back there, why doesn't he come up first?"

Seha didn't pay attention to the comment directed at him. He was too busy getting himself indulged in his current level in his video game. Okay, he didn't have a good excuse other than finding the training lecture boring. Everything else, he could deal with. However, the overseer of this event, a Lung female named Ch'en, made the lecture too boring. She demonstrated obvious techniques. Well, the obvious techniques that he had to fight with. Living in the slums for the early years of his life, he had to do many things. Yes, stealing was one of them. That often led him to get in fights with the lesser LGD forces that patrolled the streets. He was taken in by his birth mother at the age of.. 15, if he remembered correctly. Before that, he was wild. He learned to fight in order to survive. Thus, making the current lecture dull for him. However, this did not amuse Ch'en, who was already annoyed the first time she was ignored after warning him. When Seha ignored her again, she walked towards him. The other new recruits back away from him, not wanting to be in the splash zone.

"I said why don't you come up here first, RL03 Seha Lee?"

Ch'en said as she grabbed his gaming device, promptly causing his character to jump off a cliff and commit suicide. Seha frantically reached to grab it back, but Ch'en just pulled it back even further. As Seha stumbled forward, the other recruits snickered at him, some even looking amused at the scene.
