Chapter 11: Zeke Meets Dr. Facilier

It was nighttime. Zoey was sitting on the school steps and sighed. Just then, Zeke saw her sitting alone and he thought of Maddy. He told himself to forget about Maddy and walked over to Zoey. "Hey, you ok?" Zeke asked Zoey. Zoey turned around and noticed Zeke. "Hey Zeke. I'm alright," Zoey said. There was a long pause as both of them looked at the stars out the window. Zoey sighed. "Do you ever get the feeling like you want to be someone your not?" she asked Zeke. Zeke nodded saying that he felt the same way. As they were talking, Maddy walked by and saw what was going on. She hid behind a wall and watched. "I don't blame you, Zoey. You're pretty cool, even though you can be a jerk to some people," Zeke said. Zoey felt better after hearing that and gave Zeke a hug. Zeke accepted the offer and hugged her back. Maddy felt sad but she knew it was suspicious. Why would Zeke fall in love with a bully? As Maddy walked back to her dorm, she saw Roo hopping by. "Hi Maddy!" Roo said and he noticed Maddy was sad. "It's Zeke, huh?" Roo asked. Maddy smiled at Roo and told him not to worry about it. "Oh that reminds me! I made you something!" Roo said as he gave Maddy a paper snowflake with sky blue glitter on it. "Oh Roo, that's so sweet of you! Thank you," Maddy said and Roo gave her a hug. Applebloom saw this and got very jealous. Roo noticed AppleBloom and waved her over. But AppleBloom, with tears in her eyes, galloped outside. Roo shrugged and yawned as Maddy put Roo down. "Well I better go. Have a good night Maddy!" Roo said. "You too Roo!" Maddy said as Roo hopped away. Maddy kept the present from Roo and headed to her dorm room.

After they were done hugging, Zoey got a text from Boris. It said:

Meet us in the abandoned building. Our group has a plan. We need to report to Mr. Facilier. Bring Zeke too.  #meeting

In the text, Boris told Zoey the plan. Zoey was hesitant and then texted back: 👍🏻

"Well, I guess we gotta meet with the others. We are sneaking out tonight. Wanna come?" Zoey asked. Zeke wasn't sure. His mom says to never sneak out at night cause it was dangerous but his dad used to when he was Zeke's age. "Sure," Zeke smiled as Zoey took Zeke's hand and were on their way. As they got to the abandoned building close to the school, Zeke felt a chill up his back. "I don't know about this place. I have a bad feeling about it," he told Zoey. Zoey punched Zeke in the arm. "Stop being a scaredy cat! Come on," she said. They went in the abandoned building. Zeke wiped his finger across an old table. "Still dusty. Where are we Zoey?" Zeke asked. "Zeke over here!" Zoey called out as Zeke saw Zoey's shadow and followed it. But when he got to another room, it was pitch black. "Zoey? Zoey where are you?" Zeke hollered. Suddenly, he saw Becca light up her cigarette again and Zeke saw his friends including Zoey. "Hey guys what are you doing here? Don't you know this place is creepy?" Zeke said. "Right you are!" said a familiar voice. "And we couldn't be more happier!" said another voice Zeke knew. "Hello Zeke," the voice said and out popped Jafar and Iago. "You! But how did you escape?!" Zeke asked. "That would be me," said another voice. "A tip of the hat from Dr. Facilier," said the shadow man as he gave Zeke his card. "Boom," Becca said. Zeke was confused. "Wait! You guys work for them?!" Zeke said in shock. "What do you expect? Oink! Oink!" Herbert giggled. Zeke looked at Zoey. Zoey was sad. "I can't believe it! I trusted you guys!" Zeke said then he looked at Zoey. "Why?" Zeke asked Zoey. Zoey was about to say something when Boris interrupted. "She doesn't take orders from a poor sap like you!" Boris bellowed. "Just wait till the authorities here about this!" Zeke said as he ran for the door but the bullies blocked his path. "You're not going anywhere my boy. Take him to the potion room!" Dr. Facilier ordered the bullies. Becca and Boris grabbed Zeke and brought him toward the potion room. "Let me go!" Zeke shouted. "Nobody can hear ya! Nobody can hear ya!" Herbert sang as he tagged along. Zeke was brought into a room filled with potions. Zeke got locked in a chair and couldn't get out. Boris got gloves on and some sunglasses, carrying an injection needle with pink liquid inside. "Boris you know what to do," Dr. Facilier said as Boris saluted. Becca then grabbed Zoey and stood her in front of Zeke. "Stop! Whatever you're doing is not gonna work!" Zeke said as Herbert pinned down Zeke's arms. Then, Boris stabbed the needle into Zeke's arm as Zeke cried out in pain. "No! Don't!" Zoey cried out. "This is what you wanted sweetheart," Becca told Zoey. There was a long pause as Zeke was released and collapsed on the floor. Zoey was released from Becca's grip and rushed toward Zeke. Zeke opened his eyes as Zoey apologized. Zeke shushed her and brushed Zoey's hair back. "You look beautiful," he told her and gave her a hug. "By god, it worked! The love potion worked!" Boris cheered as he twirled with Herbert. "Now comes the Tooniversity dance," Becca said as she high fived Boris and Herbert.
Meanwhile as this was still happening, Jafar and Dr. Facilier were playing chess when Iago flew in with a surprise visitor.
