A long time ago in the early 19th century, a ship named ‘Diamond Empire’ set sail from a port in Nashville on a whaling voyage with a 70 crew, under the control of Captain Elliot. Aside from them, three passengers are a friend of the captain namely; Johnson, Chase, and Charleston. They persuaded the captain to let them sail with him on the ship in pursue to travel the world by sea and the latter agreed because they were, after all, his buddies. On the next day, the voyage began, and the three were excited because at last, they can taste the feeling of being free.
Seven days into the voyage, the ship endured a sudden blast. It was accompanied by vivid flashes of lightning, heavy thunderstorms, and huge waves that brought panic to the crews and the passengers. The storm lasted two hours and they suffered a lot from its violent impact. After the storm, they realized that one of their whaling boats was destroyed and some parts of the ship were ruined. So, the captain ordered some of his men to fixed the ruined part of the ship. However, they were still safe and sound and continued their voyage in search of whales.
A couple of months had passed, things went smoothly. Sometimes, they caught whales and chopped them in the ocean using big and sturdy nets that could fit the small and big ones. On that day, they took down nine whales, racking up 300 barrels of oil. From there, they head to Masala and unload the barrels of oil in the port. The ship stayed there for two weeks as for the captains’ command. After they dwelled in Masala, the ship set sail again.
The crew of the Diamond Empire was undergoing another routine day. The remaining whaleboats were out harpooning for more whales. Everyone was on their work and the passengers got boring day by day. Because of their boredom, Johnson invites his colleagues to join him in the forecastle of the ship and have some little chat in there. They stayed there for half an hour and talk for a little longer. While they were talking, Charleston observed a massive whale and it blows water three times on its blowhole and was lying quietly, with his head in the direction of the ship. He spewed again three times and suddenly disappeared. Charleston was a little bit confused about the whales’ attitude but, he didn't mind it and continued talking to his colleagues.
At this moment, as Chase made a slight glance at the ocean, the whale caught his attention who was making a move towards the ship. Chase warned his colleagues about the strange movement of the whale and they all got alarmed. But before Chase could react, the whale already hit the ship with his head that causes them to lose their balanced. The ship brought up as violently as if the whale had struck a rock and trembled for a few seconds like a pane.
The three watched the whale in horror as it passed under the ship and began to thrash violently in the water and smite his jaws together in fury. The whale soon disappeared much to the crew's relief and the men got to work by repairing the ship. The three passengers went back to their cabin and take a rest. Captain Elliott visited his friends in their cabin after the attack of the whale to see how they are doing. He talked to them for a while and soon, he bid his farewell and left.
Captain Elliot headed to his crews and instructed them to get ready if by any chance the whale would attack again. The crew prepared their equipment for catching the enormous whale and waited for its return. A few hours later, a crew in a haste slammed the door of Captain Elliott’s office. Without a doubt, the crew told the captain about the whales’ appearance again. Captain Elliott involuntarily arose from his seat and quickly headed to the forecastle of the ship to see the whale heading on their ship with double speed and frantic movement.
Captain Elliott gave signals to his crews and they nodded in unison. The crew's line is armed in armed, waiting for the whale to strike back again. Their eyes were in range and full of desire to catch the enormous whale and set a world record. The captain, at the same time, stands tall while waiting for the next strike of the whale.
They waited for a couple of minutes but to no avail, the whale didn't show up and they were all disappointed. Little did they know, the whale was at the bottom of the sea already starting his scheme, but this time it was an upward attack. Suddenly, a crew shouted as he saw the face of the whale below. But before the captain could give his command, the whale already attacks them upwardly at full force that made the ship tore into half. He jumps into the water once again, making a big splash that made the whaleboats sank into the ocean. No one managed to survive the attack including the captain and the passengers.
The whale swims away and abruptly stopped, not far from the ruined ship. He opened his huge mouth, revealing a man inside. It was Matthew, the one that gives the command to the whale to attack those merciless crews including the captain who killed hundreds of whales and made money from it. Matthew watched from afar as the Diamond Empire began to sink in the ocean and shortly left the place with the whale.
