-7:18 a.m, The Morning-

I wake up to the sound of an alarm blasting in my ear. I rub my eyes and sigh, another miserable day of school. Honestly, I was considering faking being sick to stay home. Considering it was Friday and the next week would be the last week of school, but I knew I had to go whether I liked it or not.

I sat up and uncovered myself, feeling the cold air hit my legs. I sit myself up on the edge getting off and walking over to my dresser. I scavenge through each of the draws looking for my uniform. Aha, I found it, sitting at the bottom of my drawer under all my shirts. Why is school even so early in the morning? Honestly, if I could skip, I would. The only Actual reason I choose to go is to see my friends like Sapnap and Bad.

I'm not even going to fuss anymore since summer is coming up. I get ready, grab my homework, my backpack, and everything else that I need for my school day. I walk out of my room only to be greeted by my mother rushing us both out of the door and to the car. She drove me to school and wished me a good day. Why was she in such a rush? I wondered as I walked to the front of the school doors, pushing them open and exploring the hallways.

I found my classroom and walked in, everyone looked at me as the teacher gave me a half-smile.

"Your late, again."

God-damn, she is always on me about that. I don't really care considering she was usually late too, so I ignored her and walked to my seat. She sighed and then explained to us that we would have to do work over the summer. What the hell I mean it's the summer! The class all started to chat at her words.

"No, no. Class we're going to have pen pals. I'll give you the choice to if you want to write to somebody or not."

She looked in my direction, we made eye contact.

"You are going to have to write to somebody since you decided skipping is more important than learning."

I cursed under my breath. This was so unfair, I mean I did skip, but this is just utterly rude! What even is a stupid pen pal anyways, it sounds so dumb. I mean we write to them, but what's the point?

"Why are we writing to them? Can't we just talk like normal people?"

She sighed as she looked back in my direction. I mean I'm right, aren't I? Why can't we just talk in person?

"Well, that's because they live in a foreign country or another state. I assigned you a pen pal already, but we'll discuss that later."

She coughed and started to explain again. How am I supposed to talk to somebody through letters? That will take way too long, and it'll be boring! What, am I going to talk to somebody who doesn't even know the same language as me too? I'm kinda pissed that she even assigned me someone instead of at least letting me pick.

-11:20 a.m, Lunch Time-

I walked with my friends Sapnap and Bad. They were always there with me, even when I got detention they tried to cheer me up later. They were the type of friends to last you a lifetime. Obviously, they were my homies, but honestly, I really value their dedication and the time they put into our friendship. Of course, we had our ups and downs but were humans so of course.

Sapnap and I walked to the plates while Bad picked a table for us to all sit at. Bad always packed a lunch, he didn't really like cafeteria food that much. Especially since he had a bad allergic reaction to one of the foods one time, he wasn't going to risk it again. I didn't really care for the food either, but I'll take what I can get I guess. Sapnap just usually picked the same thing if they had it, he just ate what they had and didn't really leave a comment about it.

We walked over to where bad was sitting and sat down. Bad told us how he had also had pen pals and had chosen somebody already.

B-"Yeah I had chosen a pen pal too, their name is Skeppy, and they seem like they would be a pretty fun person to talk to!"

S-"Are me and Dream not fun enough for you?"

B-"Hey, I never said that you muffin head!"

Sapnap laughed at Bads remark as Bad laughed too. I sighed as I continued to eat, Sapnap and Bad knew I was acting a little strange.

B-"Hey are you ok, is something bothering you?

S-"Yeah you know you can tell us, anything dude!"

Sapnap said as he nudged my shoulder. I sighed and looked at both of them.

D-"I honestly don't get the point of these "Pen pals" I mean why do I not get to pick who I want to talk to?"

S-"Well I don't know, I mean you could've chosen somebody else as your pen pal. Who did you pick?"

D-"The thing is I don't know, the teacher picked one for me and told me that it wasn't optional for me."

B-"That's kinda unfair, She didn't even give you any information about them?"

D-"Nope, none. I'm kinda pissed off that she seriously chose one for me instead of letting me pick."

B-"Hey, language! Yeah, that's unfair though. Oh, look at the time, it's almost 11:45. We have to go to the next period in 5 minutes!"

Bad said staring at his watch, we all got up and said our goodbyes as we separated three different ways. We all dumped out our trays as we parted. I was seriously kind of confused on who my pen pal was, obviously I was still a little mad, but I could get over it. I tried not to put too much thought into it as I arrived at the front of my classes' door.

Math class is the worst. What am I even going to use half of the stuff for? I don't even remember what I did yesterday, and they expect us to remember this?
