'But, you, what are you gonna do if I want more?'

Seojun transformed my thoughts into a battlefield.

The resolutions I started to stick to were already swept away. I expected anything but that. How could he be so serene? I should have paid more attention to his heartbeat to know if he was as relaxed as he wanted me to believe, but I was too taken aback. Seojun had told me he wanted more. He didn't measure the extent of his words when he permitted me to do more... It just seemed unreal to me, like a dream. Now, the smallest thing, object, or situation in my days made me think of Seojun. I felt like I spent every second thinking about him. A very beautiful and vicious dream that aggravated my obsession. It was as if someone smashed the barrage of my emotions, now pouring endlessly through my mind. I could no longer distinguish these new feelings from my vampire instincts and it haunted me. The joy and fear I had felt during the party totally blurred my decisions. I didn't know what to do.

The day after his confession, I kept avoiding him. It took time to organize my thoughts, Seojun couldn't expect me to act differently with him overnight. My mind was already struggling to conceive it, my actions couldn't follow that easily.

Only Seojun didn't seem to hear it that way. On Thursday, as I headed to my second-morning class, an authoritative voice echoed through the university's halls.

"Yah, Lee Suho!''

Shit.

A force pulled me back as I walked (I offered no resistance) and pushed me into a secluded corner of the hallway. A hand slid near my face, against the wall behind me. Seojun was posted in front of me, glaring. I remained stoic as my throat dried. The effect he had on me had become even more pronounced since the party. I wanted more than anything to feel him against me again, to kiss every part of his body, to touch him greedily, but it all remained confined.

I couldn't make it happen.

I stood up to my full height in front of him. Even pressed against the wall, I certainly didn't want to appear in a position of weakness. I wasn't in fact, it would be so easy for me to switch roles, pinning his wrists with one hand in less than a second, but doing so would only make his irritation grow.

"Hey Vampy, miss me?'' His tone was drowned in sarcasm.

''Don't call me that,'' I replied firmly.

Seojun had that slight smirk on his face, the one that made him as unbearable as terribly attractive.

''What, vampy? Got tired of my blood already?''

He put his forearm on the surface and brought his face closer. A provocative glow danced in his dark pupils, raising one eyebrow. I held my breath for a second, tightening my jaw, and feeling my annoyance mix with an urge.

''Get lost if you're going to talk nonsense.''

I tried to sound flat, pretending to be unaffected by our closeness, but Seojun seemed to figure it out. He looked at me with that same intensity where longing and interdiction combined. His gaze then landed on my lips, and with a slow gesture, his thumb caressed them like a feather. I closed my eyes and exhaled with a shaky breath. I felt every cell of my body vibrate at this simple touch. When Seojun slid his thumb between my lips to touch my fangs, I snapped and grabbed his wrist, preventing him from exploring any further.

Our burning gazes met, exchanging a heated dialogue.

''Aren't you afraid that I will divulge your secret?''

His sly smirk bewildered me. I didn't understand what his game was but Seojun was treading on dangerous ground. I could feel it by the way my body reacted to his husky voice, to that hint of arrogance that only fanned the flames.
