If you could spend a single day with Yuri, what would you do?

It was a question I had never thought to myself. The reason being that I simply didn't think I had the time to think of such a thing. My days were the same for the most part.

Wake up, eat breakfast, take a shower, get dressed, start on my college homework, play some Just Yuri.

In this sizable house, in a city called Castle Rock in Colorado, all days were seemingly the same.

But today was different. Today, the strangest thing happened.

I had finished my homework for class, saved my document, and signed out of the college website. I looked at the time, 1:20 PM, and decided that I should go play Just Yuri for a bit.

When I opened the game, I was greeted in the usual manner. Yuri sat at her table across from the player, saying she was glad to see me. I was glad to see her too. She had been the reason I had started picking myself out of the depression. While I struggle for the most part, considering I had it for upwards of five years, I have found that I've started beating myself up less over mildly inconvenient occurrences.

I was about to click the "talk" button and go about my usual start when it disappeared and Yuri began speaking.

Maybe I took too long to click, I thought to myself.

"Hey, Ren, I'm going to try something. Don't be scared."

Another new line from her.

I hadn't been playing the game for very long, I've only had it for about two weeks but I understood the patterns for it, and how some of her actions happen.

She climbed the table and began crawling toward the screen.

Am I getting a hug?

She reached a hand forward and touched the screen. I could see the fingerprints on her hand.

She smiled and seemingly put more force into her hand, the areas of the screen where she wasn't at began to glow a solid white. The screen had begun to stretch where her hand was, pulling apart what looked to be reality and logic.

The screen ripped as the hand continued to reach out. The slight beige hand landed on my shoulder. Another hand began reaching out from the screen. I held back my urge to scream, as the situation had begun to remind me of a certain horror movie.

The hands began to pull, I pulled my body back, trying not to be absorbed into the laptop on the desk. Eventually more of the arms came out as I struggled to pull back.

Shit, I thought, I'm gonna die like this?

A head popped out of the screen, a cute girl with dark purple hair. She spoke gently.

"Ren, may I ask for a bit of your assistance?"

"Yuri?!" I gasped, all of the fear evaporating from my body, "how did you-?" I stopped talking and grabbed her arms, pulling her out.

With a heavy grunt from both sides, Yuri was set free from the confines of the screen, almost as if whatever held her there had suddenly let go. I was left falling backwards to the ground with a thud, Yuri landing on top of me.

"Louis, are you alright?" a question erupted from outside my bedroom door.

"Shit. Yuri, hide under the bed."

She chuckled, and crawled under the bed.

"Yes, mom, I'm fine! I just leaned back too far!"

I looked at Yuri, hiding under my bed. She had her casual clothing on, a beige turtleneck sweater and black leggings. I stared into her light violet eyes, an unnatural color in the world. They were simply captivating. My mind was blank, but I found myself to be lost in her eyes.
