Lin Short Stories.

Lace

Kya was currently cleaning out her and Lin's drawers when she opened the bottom one. Inside were lace bras and panties that she had no idea about. "Lin?!"

Lin: "Yes?"

Kya: "Come here!!" The metal bender stopped what she was doing and jogged to their room. "I think you forgot to clean out your ex's stuff..."

Lin: "The only ex I have is Tenzin so what are you talking about?" Kya pointed to the drawer and Lin looked inside. "Oh that's mine."

Kya: "What?" The Chief proceeded to pull her pants down to reveal the lace she was wearing. She then took her shirt off and revealed the matching bra. "Well fuck."

Lin: "Yep." She kicked her clothes away and went back to the living room like nothing happened.

Sick

It was 90° outside yet Lin was freezing. Kya was at the market getting food and it was Lin's day off. She sneezed and coughed. Of course, the water bender had no knowledge of her wife being sick due to someone's stubbornness. When Kya got home, she was immediately welcomed by Lin laying on the couch covered in four thick fuzzy blankets with a red nose and labored breathing.

Kya: "Lin?"

Lin: "Hm?"

Kya: "It's damn near 100° outside. Why are you covered in blankets?"

Lin: "I'm cold-" She started coughing violently. Kya sighed and kneeled next to the sick Beifong.

Kya: "Of course your sick. Why didn't you tell me?"

Lin: "I'm not sick.."

Kya: "Mhm and I'm the next avatar. Cmon." She pulled the covers off and Lin immediately shivered and snatched them back. "Guess not." The water bender took two of the blankets off and picked up Lin with her wrapped around the other two. The metal bender covered her nose and mouth with one blanket and sneezed loudly. "Bless you."

Lin: "Thank-" She sneezed again. And again. And again. "Thank you."

Kya: "Your welcome. Now let's get you back into bed." Kya took her wife to their room and laid her down.

For the next three weeks, Kya tended to Lin as if she was a child. Team Avatar came over and left 'get well soon' gifts for the sick Beifong who had a bad case of the Flu.

Mommy

Su and Lin were in the oldest Beifong's house, drinking wine and catching up with Lin's phone rang. Su peaked over at it like a nosy bitch and stifled a laugh.

Su: "You still call mom 'mommy'?"

The chief said nothing as she answered.

Lin: "Hey Izumi."

The monarch choked on her wine as she looked at her sister.

Tired

She was tired. People treated her like shit. She was already feeling guilty as she thought of all the lives that were lost. She was tired of people playing with her heart. She was tired of people firing her because of her sexuality. She was tired in general. And when someone finally cared, it was too late. She stepped over the edge and let her body fall. Before she closed her eyes, she heard her name one last time. From the only person who cared. Kya.

"Lin!!"

Unfair

She was banned from the island after she destroyed it. Or so she thought. Only one person would allow her on that island. Not that she wanted to go back. She felt footsteps behind her as she ran. She didn't stop nor did she want to. Her name was called multiple times but she ignored it. Stupid Tenzin. When she finally stopped, the person running behind her stopped as well as they caught their breath. "Go away."

Tenzin: "Lin... I'm sorry okay? You weren't supposed to find out that way."

Lin: "I wasn't supposed to find out at all because you weren't supposed to do it in the first place!!"

Tenzin: "I-"

Lin: "On top of that, she's 18!! She JUST turned 18! And you've been fucking around with her for how long?!"

Tenzin: "A year..."

Lin: "She's not a side hoe! She's a victim!"

Tenzin: "Lin please! You didn't want kids. I did. I have a whole nation to rebuild and you knew that!!"

Lin: "I didn't want kids because I couldn't have them! You abused me for months thinking that would get me to have kids with you! The whole time you were cheating on me as well! That's unfair for me!" More footsteps came from behind Tenzin and he turned around to find his sister and her father looking at them in shock. The Beifong wiped her tears and started running again.

Kya: "Lin!!" The young water bender ran after her friend and grabbed her arm. "Lin.. Stop."

Lin: "What Kya."

Kya: "Why didn't you tell me?"

Lin: "It was none of your concern."

Kya: "Your my best friend. It was definitely my concern considering he is my brother... Where did he hit you?" Lin didn't answer. "Lin..." She tilted her friend's head upwards. "Where did he hit you." The metal bender took her shirt and rubbed her cheek, arms, and chest.

Lin: "Happy?" She looked up at her friend and Kya gasped softly. There were bruises everywhere. The water bender touched Lin's cheek softly. "Stop that's weird."

Kya: "Shut up. Why didn't you tell me?"

Lin: "I dunno.. Wanna know the worst part?"

Kya: "There's more?"

Lin: "I'm pregnant..."

Kya: "What? I thought you said you couldn't have kids..."

Lin: "I lied. I didn't want him to think I was so he would make me stay."

Kya: "That's okay. I'm helping you raise this kid if you want to keep it."

Lin: "I have no choice but to keep it. I'm already 2 months pregnant."

Kya: "That's fine. I'm here for you."

Lin hugged her tightly and hide her face in Kya's neck. Kya simply sighed and hugged her back. She didn't know what was wrong with Tenzin. He hurt such a beautiful human being and for what?... The next week Kya moved in with Lin and from then, their friendship turned into something more. The child was born and wasn't a air bender. Tenzin did find out that was his kid but since the child wasn't a air bender, he wanted nothing to do with them. Lin and Kya raised that child without the help of a certain bitch and lived happily.
