Winning Love by Daylight: Spirit Cleanser

SoFi and Willow

On a bright and sunny day, in a quiet and tranquil town, a forest with lush green leaves peacefully sway slightly back and forth. Birds chirp and sing happily, while squirrels scurry up and down trees. Hidden from normal eyes, different spirits of all shapes, sizes, and colors, safely live amongst each other, singing, laughing, eating, and much more.

The once tranquil forest was disrupted by a sinister chaos. The peace has been replaced with a rampaging spirit, bouncing and swinging off different trees with its lanky and nimble body. Its glowing dark cobalt blue body was difficult to spot, but its sharp red eyes lingers as it moves about. The many peaceful spirits quiver in fear of their once comrade being corrupted. Within the chaos, three students aim to help the spirit.

They run through the trees, chasing the spirit. One on the kids, fitted with a black bob and round golden glasses, has a green and white striped shirt; her hiking boots, with green socks poking out, allows her to maneuver through the forest grounds and keep pace despite the roots, leaves and dirt on the ground. Matching her shoes are short sleeve overalls with a brown color, with a centered pocket on her chest.

Another, a brunette girl with her hair tied up in a ponytail and framed by her dark purple headphones, doges some of the low hanging branches, making sure her fluffy pink scarf doesn't get caught in them. She could almost hide amongst the trees with her puffy deep green sweater and brown skirt. Although her dark purple boots are not made for running, she keeps pace due to the direness of the situation at hand.

"We need to slow it down!" The girl with a brown pony tail shouted out of breath. The three have been chasing the dark spirit for a few minutes, with little success.

The dark spirit swings around a tree and lunged towards her.

"SoFi!" the third kid shouted

SoFi gasps and tries to jump out the way, but she slips and falls to the ground. As the dark spirit approaches her, a thick tree suddenly emerges from the ground between them. The dark spirit slams into it, recovering quickly, and jumps to another one. The other two students run to SoFi.

"You okay?" one of them asks.

"Yeah, I'm fine, M.C.," she replies. "Thanks to Willow."

She looks up at the girl in overalls and is greeted with a smile from her.

"Yeah, that was fast," M.C. complemented. "Nice timing."

"I'm just glad you're okay," Willow said. "But no time to relax now. We need to find a way to help this spirit."

"I'm just hoping we don't have to harm it..." M.C. mumbled.

"Maybe I can put it to sleep? With my voice?" SoFi suggested.

"That may work," Willow said. "But we'll be put to sleep as well."

"I came prepared," M.C. replied. They pulled out two sound proof headphones.

"Okay! This can work!" SoFi said.

"Willow, think you can hold it in place?" M.C. Asked

"Yes, I believe so," Willow replied.

"Okay, then...," M.C. starts. "Let's do this!" The two girls nod in agreement.

The kids separate, creating space between them. M.C. dashed towards the dark spirit, closing the gap. The dark spirit landed onto a tree and lunged towards M.C. They continued running. Time slowed down. The student and the spirit locked eyes. M.C. lunges forward into a roll, narrowly missing the corrupted spirit's outstretched claws.
