The hot water enveloped you like a fleeting comfort, the steam rising around you like a veil, hiding your face from the harsh truth you couldn't escape. You let out a long, heavy sigh as the warmth soaked into your skin, a fleeting relief that couldn't wash away the weight of the storm brewing in your chest. The day with Taehyung—another day spent reading, laughing, and sharing small moments—had ended.

In two days, everything would change. The wedding loomed like a shadow, and every passing minute felt heavier. You were supposed to leave with Taehyung the night before the ceremony, but the crushing guilt was starting to suffocate you.

You stared blankly at the water swirling beneath you, the piano echoing faintly through the walls. It was a sound you couldn't escape, even as you shut your eyes, refusing to meet the reflection staring back at you.

Your reflection was full of doubts and guilt, but worse still, full of desire.

"Rough night?" The voice broke through the silence, low and teasing.

You froze, your heart beating as you turned toward the door.

Jimin's face appeared in the doorway, his mischievous eyes catching the light. Without waiting for an invitation, he stepped inside, his presence almost suffocating in its ease.

He sat beside the tub, not a hint of discomfort on his face as if you hadn't just been moments away from a breakdown.

"You've seen worse," he said, his voice light but with an edge of something else—a sharpness that felt too perceptive.

You rolled your eyes, letting out a bitter laugh. "Must be difficult to be in love with someone you can't have."

Jimin's eyes narrowed slightly, a knowing smile tugging at the corner of his lips. He leaned back on the stool, watching you with a quiet intensity that made your heart race.

"Well, if you're gonna be this obvious about it, maybe it's time someone said something."

You stiffened. The words hit harder than you expected. The truth was out there; now it felt like you drowned in it.

"What are you talking about?" You tried to sound nonchalant, but the tremor in your voice betrayed you.

Jimin chuckled a soft sound that felt almost too knowing. "The way he looks at you, Y/N. Don't act like you don't see it. The tension is practically suffocating."

Your stomach twisted painfully, and a cold wave of dread flooded you. Had it been that obvious? Had everyone noticed?

He didn't let you stew in the discomfort for long. "Relax," he said, leaning forward with a smirk. "I'm just a professional when it comes to sensing that kind of thing, and believe me, you don't need a degree to see how he feels about you."
