Sakura/Shuichi POV

I'm waiting in the front room of our apartment. I'm scared, but I have to tell my boyfriend at some point. I can't keep living as Sakura. It's just not me. The door opens and I take a deep breath. "H-hey K-kokichi" I wave and smile nervously. "Hey, Flower girl, what's wrong?" I tense up a bit at the nickname. "I n-need to t-tell you s-something i-important, ok?" "Of course, you can tell me anything, Sakura."

He smiles and puts his arm around me. I'm safe, but for how much longer I wonder. "S-so, i-im trans, i-i was b-born a g-girl, but I f-feel like I w-was alw-ways supposed to b-be a b-boy..." I say. Kokichi hugs me "that's fine with me, so what should I call my handsome boyfriend?" "Shuichi is my p-preferred name." "And pronouns?" "H-he they." I'm gonna be safe for a long time I smile.
