Last night I dreamt I was at my funeral again.

it was a reoccurring dream. a bit funny though, as I wasn't sick or suicidal (anymore).

I had that dream since I transferred to crossland high, some high school, after I got thrown out of two public and an elite all boys school.

my mom drove me to school that morning. it was my second week. I already made some friends, a girl from volleyball club and a boy from gymnastics.

I was a bit athletic myself,  playing basketball since I was 11. meaning I've been playing for 6, almost 7 years.

due to my height I was recruited right as I came to apply. I was 6'4, pretty tall right?

currently I was on my way to advanced chemistry. I was on top of every single one of my classes.

It was always like this, being the best in everything and succeeding every time. so, you may ask yourself, why was I thrown out three times already?

to put it simple, I am gay. I had homosexual sex in a bathroom with another boy in a bathroom stall and I got caught.

even though straight people were busted having sex during class, they were not expelled. but the same gender having sex?

big no no

big nah ah

humongous stop signs and red lights

so, why exactly did I do that two times? adrenalin and horniness. the third time? we don't talk about that.

arriving at my seat, students I didn't know filled my classroom. the teacher followed the stream of the chattering people.

"good morning class 12, today the 11th graders will join us. Mrs. Hall isn't present today, so we'll talk through some sour and basic reactions." mr. white told us.

"heffley, please have seat next to l/n. l/n raise your hand, thanks. you'll assist mr Roderick, as he sucks at chemistry." he chuckled, earning a few laughter.

a boy, definitely shorter than me, with black hair and eyeliner took a seat next to me. he didn't have a pleased look on his face.

"hi, I'm y/n, nice to meet you Roderick." I said with a smile. he just huffed and crossed his arms. raising my eyebrows I focused on the beginning lesson.

the first part was simple, just some explaining and introduction for the 11th graders. now we had to test our knowledge.

he gave all of us some exercise to work on, the seniors had to help the freshmen.

Roderick quickly made clear, that he didn't want to do that, but after mr white declared the rest would be homework, he quickly got to work.

he looked over to me, very often. "do you need help?" I asked. he shook his head. "I can do this on my own sucker." he grumbled and took his pen.

after looking over to his paper, i already knew that he did everything wrong.

"Roderick, you know that out of this reaction comes a salt, right?" he looked up embarrassed. "if course I know that..."

I took his pen, smiling. "here's what you're gonna do..."

I explained everything mr white taught us, just easier for him to understand. after many tries he finally got it right.

"see, that wasn't so hard, was it?" I asked him, patting his shoulder. he just looked at me.

"yeah, sure man." he said and rolled his eyes, shaking off my hand. I ripped off a piece of paper and wrote my number down.
