Diminishing Returns

Yesterday you were struggling to have a good life

Today you are fighting just to live

Imagine if by tomorrow

You are gonna be expected to justify your rights as a human being

We know what is wrong

We know who is at fault

and yet we pretend

That there is a future still waiting for us

even when we don't even have control of our Lives today

We know what has to be done

We know it wont be easy

but even in this world

Violence has its place

Should you wait for the day

when all that is expected from you is to Die

And fighting for your life is considered a crime

Isn't it better to fight and die as a human

than continue to exist as a resource to be used

and struggle each day to see tomorrow

The Day they deny you the thought of Peace and Reason

is the the Day you allow yourself to act upon Hate and Violence
