Mary worries about Adam and Cassandra tries to kill herself

Mary Ingalls Kendall's P.O.V.
I just woke up from a nightmare breathing really heavily "ADAM ADAM" I yelled "Mary what's wrong?" Adam asked in a horse sick sounding voice "Mary are you okay?" Laura asked "Adam are you okay" I asked worriedly "of course Mary" Adam said "you mean 'of course not' Adam, now back to bed with you young man" Ma said "yes Ma'am but please make sure Mary's okay" Adam said as I think he went back to bed "Mary Darling why'd you scream like that?" Pa asked "I think I just had a terrible dream where Adam died from being sick" I explained "don't worry Mary, Dr. Baker said Adam will be fine, he just needs rest" Laura said "I know but he fell or passed out or something" I said "I know Mary but Dr. Baker said Adam will probably be fine with some rest" Laura said "yeah Darling Adam will be fine" Pa said "yeah" Ma said "Half-Pint can you please go make sure your younger sisters are okay real quick?" Pa said "yeah of course Pa" Laura said and I heard her footsteps leaving the room then quickly running back in "Pa! Pa!" Laura yelled "what's wrong Half-Pint?" Pa asked "I found this note in the girls' room and Cassandra's gone" Laura said "Dear Mr. and Mrs. Ingalls," Pa started reading "Mr. and Mrs. Ingalls...? She always called us Pa and Ma..." Ma said "continue reading Pa it gets worse" Laura said "I have decided, I'd much rather be in Heaven with my brother and Ma and Pa now instead of waiting to die...I'm sorry, I'll miss you all but I have to do this...Cassandra" Pa said probably reading from the note Laura said she found in Carrie, Cassandra, and Grace's room "Caroline do you know where she could've gone?" Pa asked "no" Ma said "Half-Pint do you?" Pa asked "no sorry Pa" Laura said "I think I might know..." Laura's niece Jenny said shyly "where Jenny?" Laura asked "the lake where I tried to drown myself after my Pa died..." Jenny said "oh your right" Laura said "c'mon Half-Pint let's go" Pa said "okay Pa, Jenny you and my Ma stay here, me and my Pa will be right back, and help my sister please if she needs any help" Laura said "yes Ma'am" Jenny said "we'll be right back" Pa said as I heard him and Laura run out.

Charles Ingalls' P.O.V.
Laura and I went to the lake Jenny thinks Cassandra could've gone to, "Pa I see Cassandra" Laura said "I'll go get her" I said jumping into the water and swimming as fast as possible to save Cassandra, accidently swallowing a lot of water while trying to save Cassandra who was already really far under the water "Pa!" I heard Laura yell before I went completely blank under the water.

Laura Ingalls Wilder's P.O.V.
I jumped into the water to save my pa and sister and I managed to pull them both out, both were passed out and just barely breathing but I needed to get Doc Baker, so I ran off to go find him.

Dr. Hiram Baker's P.O.V.
"Doc Baker! Doc Baker!" I heard Laura yelling although I was sleeping so I went outside of my office to see what was wrong "Laura what are you doing here?" I asked "it's Pa and Cassandra" Laura said tearing up "what happened to them?" I asked "Cassandra tried to drown hereself and Pa went in to save her but she was already so deep down under the water and Pa started swallowing water and he passed out, and Cassandra did too and I'm super worried" Laura said "are they still breathing?" I asked "yeah but just barely" Laura said "alright let's go" I said climbing onto my wagon then helping Laura up "thanks" Laura said as we went back to the lake where Laura left Charles and Cassandra and I took care of them and took them back to the boarding house.

Caroline Ingalls' P.O.V.
Me, Jenny, and Mary waited frantically for Charles and Laura to come back with Cassandra "Ma they're not back yet what if something happened?" Mary said "I'll go check" I said going downstairs hearing a knock on the door so I opened it "Laura, Doc Baker" I said as they both came in, Laura was carrying Cassandra, and Doc Baker was carrying Charles "what happened?" Jenny asked "they both swallowed a bunch of water, they'll be fine with some rest though" Doc Baker said "alright" I said trying to sound calm "it's alright Caroline, they'll be fine, they might have a little trouble speaking and walking, so they'll have to learn how to do that again but they'll be fine" Doc Baker said "alright" I said as I took Charles from Doc Baker and carried him up to our bed and Laura carried Cassandra up to the girls room and layed her on her bed then we went down to have some coffee with Mary who also came down.

Mary's P.O.V.
"Don't worry Ma, Cassandra and Pa will be fine, Doc Baker is sure of it" Laura said "I know Laura but I just can't help but worry" Ma said "Mary are you alright?" Laura asked "yeah just worried about Adam" I said "don't worry he'll be fine too" Laura said "I can't help it, when I woke up earlier screaming, I had a nightmare, where Adam died and I just can't help worrying" I said starting to cry a little "don't worry Mary I can't help worrying about your Pa and Cassandra either" Ma said "and I can't stop worrying about Almonzo" Laura said "okay well since we are all worrying about people, how about we all sleep in the same room, keep each other company, and help each other not worry about our loved ones" I suggested "great idea Mary" Laura said "alright" Ma said and all three of us went upstairs and went into the room I was staying in and me and Ma layed down on the bed and Laura got a blanket and pillow for herself on layed on the floor and used them and we just stayed up and talked for about an hour, then we all feel asleep and woke up every few hours because of one of us having a nightmare every few hours, and honestly I missed having girl talk with my ma and sister, I kind of wished I could do it every night, but I knew that would be impossible because me and Adam would have to go back to New York eventually, Ma and Pa would have to take Carrie, Cassandra, and Grace home eventually too, and I wouldn't ask Laura or Ma to move to New York because Ma and Pa have to live in Iwoa for money and stuff because Pa has a job there, and my family needs the money, and Laura loves Walnut Grove, and I'm not going to ask Adam to give up his job at the law firm in New York to live here again, so this might be the last time me, Ma, and Laura can all have girl talk together...I mean I can't ask Adam to give up being a lawyer, or ask Pa to give up his job...can I?
