Ariana's POV
"OMG! The two great head teams!"
All students suddenly come out of their tents. They hurriedly go near the quadrangle where the head teams are standing. But I am a little far from them. By staying on the spot where I am, I see the Gang Pro's head team coming towards me. She's rushing with her eyes just laying on me. That's the moment when the students running toward us encircle us.
"You should better give up, Ariana."
Her words are so certain that she would really win the task. Managing myself to give still my smile to her, it slowly fades on my lips when a single student approaches us from her back. I take a deep sigh, knowing that this student comes from her side. I think this is the remaining student who has no team yet because he has no badge on his polo.
"Prepare yourself for the loss," a frank statement she expresses out while holding the registration form. She gives it to the guy who stands between us. The student looks at it with a pen on his hand.
Oh no. I'm already in a dead end.
"Buddies, it's still fine. At least we did our best," I hear Dentor speaking behind. For sure, other buddies are feeling the same way I do. Right now, I am worried at the same time disappointed. Gosh, this would be the first ever loss to my team. I can't handle it further.
"Now, she will taste already how it feels to be lost," a loud whisper comes from the other side which causes me a heartache.
"Now, give me the form," Ellie, the Gang Pro's head team, comes near to the student with a wide smile on her face. I gulp and sigh after she received the form. She quickly gives it to her assistant and directly pass it to the registrar's office.
"Gang Pro wins! Gang Pro wins!"
The yells from the other side arise. It's really a shame for me now while standing here with no hint of walking out. I can't stand here being a loser.
The screen monitor pops up and refreshes after a while, and everyone's eyes dart their sight on it. This is the time I should accept my loss. I look at the floor as I don't want to see the rival's name on the top. Argh, I hate it!
The yells suddenly get low when they finally see the result on the screen monitor. I start hearing the shouts and yells from my back which Dentor's voice is dominating. I don't know what's happening so I urge myself to check the result.
"No! That is not true!" Ellie hysterically disapproves the result appeared while pointing at the screen monitor we all face on.
Oh my gosh, I can't believe it! We are one point ahead of Gang Pro. But why did it become like that?
"Tell me, what did you really write on the form?!" With so much anger Ellie asks to the student who is the last with no badge yet. "Tell me! The screen monitor got mistaken!"
"My apology, but I chose Hangout Buddies." He says which makes my buddies yell more behind. Gosh, I am very much happy inside that I can't control myself but to grin.
"No, tell me it's a lie. Tell me!"
Her members prevent her from making a scandalous scene. She tries to grab the student's polo but it didn't happen the way she wanted. She looks pathetic, begging for something she wishes to have but turns out none.
"Attention!" The speakers sound off again out of our expectation. "Congratulations to the Hangout Buddies! You're still the winner of the task given! Keep it up!"
Other students seem so frustrated to the announcement, but my team rejoices so loud. Hurriedly, I walk close to the student who lastly signed the form and give him my badge. I would really thank him for his decision made.
