I looked past the general to see all the exhausted soldiers, leaning against their weapons to hold themselves up. Some were holding on others on their shoulders. They seemed relieved, happy. Julie followed my gaze and turned around.

"For now let's rest, everyone seems to be tired, they deserve it. They fought well," Lady Julie said.

Lord Gilbert turned around and nodded, "Yes, you are correct. We'll head back into camp and rest."

"You'll be coming with us Asher," he asked

I called Storm.

"Would you be able to tell me were all other factions went? I'd like to finish this completely. I'll return to your camp then," I asked.

"From what I know all factions have returned from their expeditions since the enemy had put us all into a corner without anywhere to really run."

"We were pushed that far back," I mumbled.

"Okay then, lead the way," I said.

I followed the shuffling soldiers as Lord Gilbert and Lady Julie on their horses, took the front, while I carried the unconscious generals. We moved towards the eastern side outskirts of Tippleton. The camp was soon in view, a wall of earth made from Demon contractors encircled around the military tents, few were seen walking around inside the camp.

We all stopped at the front of the wall, then suddenly 4 short burst of water flew up into the air then exploding, followed by 2 long streams of water, then a small light. The wall in front of us came down and we made our way into the camp.

Once inside we spread out to allow everyone to enter the camp so the gate could be closed once more. A group of at least 100 gathered. Some were covered in bandages while others were carrying papers and weapons. They all carried a look of concern.

Lord Gilbert slowly drew his sword, the sound of the unsheathing blade echoed through, anticipation grew. He raised his sword high into the air.

"We have won the battle of Evergreen and we have captured the enemy generals," I moved to the front and presented the generals, "By accordance to the law of the council of kings and contract. We have won the war!"

"We have won the war!" Everyone joined him and cheered. "We shall make our return to the capitol tomorrow at sunset but for now let us celebrate through the night!"

Everyone's mood lightened up and went into a large tent in the right of the camp. The smell of alcohol stunk inside the tent as they all got drunk. I checked on the generals every now and then as I carried the passed out drunks to their tents to rest. On one check in I noticed something about the generals that confirmed another one of my suspicions.

The next morning we all started bringing down the tents and packing everything to place them on top of carts. By sunset we brought down the wall of earth that surrounded the camp. I was placed on watch duty for the generals as I walked in the front with Lord Gilbert and Lady Julie. Asurmaru, Aegis, and Skylark were mounted with me on top of Skylark.

We passed through Tippleton, where I told Grayson what I was doing, then Lunken, Sifar, and announced the war was over, then we finally reached Tapengen, the captial, where the castle was. I looked at the castle as we walked down the main road with roars of cheers in the background.

"A beautiful sight isn't it. The castle may have almost been burned down 16 years ago but we fixed it pretty nice. Can you believe it was only a few days ago this place burned down and now it's the 16th year of that tragedy," Lord Gilbert chuckled.

"Is it really worth celebrating the day a castle of your king burns down," I remarked.

"Yeah I guess you're right. After all we lost the queen and the prince of the kingdom that day," Lord Gilbert sighed.
