𝐣𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐫 was ninety percent sure that the life given to him had to be a practical prank. from the get-go, he was laughed at for living in a junkyard, despite his parents being some of the nicest people he's ever met. when he made a name for himself as someone who made flight semi-possible in ninjago, he was laughed at for eventually falling. something he had told everyone was a possibility. even when he had joined the ninja, he was seen as the least popular of the group. a cruel joke, he decided. something no one should ever have to go through.
he didn't think his life would get any better when he suddenly dropped everything to start over. he thought it would eventually lead back to the same result, and he would just end up in the similar embarrassing situation. he was wrong.
what started as a way to escape ended with him finding the love of his life in the most inconvenient of places — an ice cream parlour lovingly named 'coastal city ice cream parlour' just outside of the newly renovated coastal city. who knew a part time job was all he needed to be happier?

this fic will be relatively short & sweet! there are only nine planned chapters, including the epilogue, and the fic is designed to be something you can finish sooner rather than later. it's been a while since i've last written a fic (especially for ninjago, of all things), so please bear with me as i update! i promise i'm trying my best <3
