Conscience.
Every human is gifted with a conscience. The warning, the guide that makes a human, human.
Emotions are the important partner of our conscience. It helps a human to determine their actions, to held them back, or...
To let them loose.
But how does our emotions control ourselves?

BEFORE
The rain pours heavily. The skies began to growl as drop by drop, the rain consumes the cheery dusk of the recent noon.
Footsteps thudded the damped ground. The black jacket she's wearing is getting wet yet she didn't seem to care. Her goal was simple.
To see him again...
To clarify things before she leaves.
She can feel her chest thudding. Despite her omniscience and predictability on everything she does, this is the only thing she didn't want to be clever at. The only thing that she doesn't want to be the winner of.
Flashes of that betrayed expression lingers in her mind. The lonely afternoons she spent rather in class hanging out at the open terrace on top of the roof opens up an unfamiliar flow of gravity rushing in her veins. She didn't know what makes her want to stay.
To wait until the end comes.
But why does it felt like the open terrace seemed too large to hang out with?
The red lines coilliding with the blue and white colors in the sky and the sunset kissing her skin were her time.
The place seem so familiar to her. She memorized every step, every corner, space, and people coming in and out. She even memorized the objects placed in the wall.
Her footsteps seem to slow time. She can feel something thudding. She can feel something heightening yet she didn't know what.
Thud
She stopped. Finding herself staring. There he was, standing and staring at the familiar painting plastered on the wall. He wore that same jacket he usually wears whenever they ran about through the night. Memories of that night, the first time she had fun was lingering, making her stare at the unique human with bewilderness.
What makes this pathetic human different from the others?
Slowly she approaches, appreciating him for giving her the time to stand near him and stare at the absurd painting and felt him looking at her.
"People...don't appreciate what they have until its gone." She said, putting both of her hands inside the pockets of her jacket. She can feel his anticipated expression, his stare.
"When I said that I could bring your father back, I saw that it's necessary to take you away from your father first." She said, slowly glancing back at him.
The stare lingers. The expression fresh. The emotions in his eyes made her stare for a bit. And slowly he replies with a understanding nod.
"I know," was his reply, not tearing a gaze away from her. "I understand completely."
She kept staring, about to speak when he continues. "What if I don't want to lose something?"
Silence enveloped for a moment. She finds herself unable to speak. Something slowly consumes her whole body. She can feel her chest clenching for the first time in her life.
"I don't want to lose you."
His voice shows evident genuine and longingness. She is astound to witness such emotions. This pathetic human keeps impressing her to the point of making her speechless.
She wanted to make up something absurd. A lie. A snicker. Humans are the same. When they want something, their emotions get the best of them. When they lose something, their emotions rules them out again. When their caught- in the midst of patheticness, their emotions consumes them.
She was speechless, still staring at him in utter surprise. She wanted to say something. She can feel herself being consumed by an unknown force. Something akin to hurt. But this time, there wasn't any physical pain. Like the ones she experienced in her previous missions.
She felt torn.
She kept staring, memorizing every angle, the structure of his face, the color switching of his eyes, the evident expression and meaning of his words.
This human...
This different, unique pathetic human;
TK.
It's making her feel things.
The rain pours heavily. The drops of the water hitting the ground created a lonesome ambiance. There were no people. No vehicles passing by. Only the sound of the raindrops hitting the ground.
It began to get cold.
Footsteps thudded the damped ground. She held her black jacket tight as the rain began to pour even more. The moment she passes the ingress of the place, she stops.
Slowly she turns back, the emotions she tried to hold were breaking. There were tears threatening its way to stream in her cheek.
She wanted to say something, anything.
But she chose to be silent and walk away.
