Three weeks, three weeks living with someone you never thought you would lose, three weeks living with the one person you loved with all your heart, three weeks living with your boyfriend who doesn't remember anything about you.

You are preparing breakfast for the two of you for the last time in your life. Today is the day you move back in with your parents. George is grabbing your suitcase from the top of the wardrobe for you at the moment. The two of you had become friends, but the spark that once was between the two of you never showed again.

"Ouch!" "George?" you call out to him after you heard something hit the ground. "Y/N?" you hear him call out your name as you make your way over to the room that you once shared. "Everything alright, George?" George is rubbing his head he apparently dropped your suitcase on himself. "Actually not." He looks at you with a confused face. "Why are we at home? The Grand Prix was about to start." "Which Grand Prix?" Now you are the confused one. Yes, it is a Sunday, but given that George lost all of his experiece in Formula 1 it was deemed better that he wouldn't drive during this season again. "Come on! You know which one I mean. The one where I can clinch the championship even though it is pretty unlikely?" George had a smile on his face. How clueless you could be sometimes. It always amuses him. "You remember again?" you ask him. Your voice being rather quiet. "What do you mean?" he returns laughing lightly.

The smile he had on his face. The smile which is full of adoration for you. The smile you never even dared to dream about ever seeing again.

Instead of responding you just hugged him. You have him back. Your George, your boyfriend, your other half, the person that could always make you smile no matter what. You have him back.

George, who is understandably confused, hugs you back. You stand there hugging each other for what felt like hours. You don't want to let go, scared that it all could be a dream. It isn't. George is the first to let go. "It seems as if I have missed some things that happened. So, what happened?" The two of you had placed yourselves on the couch to talk about everything. "Well... How much do you remember?" "I'm at the grid and the lights go out. That's the last thing I remember."

You tell him what had happened and you loved how his face lit up when you described the race. "You ended up winning! And take a guess in which position Hamilton ended the race!" "I have no idea love." He chuckels a little at your excitement. "Elevent!" George is shocked. "Does that mean..." He doesn't dare to finish his sentence so you take over for him. "That you are the Champion of the World!" His face lights up with happines. "I did it?" "You did it!" George stands up and pulls you to your feet and spins you around until he realises something. "Y/N?" "Yes?" "What happened after I crossed the finish line?" He had a suspicion that he didn't reach the podium after finishing the race, because something is missing that he swore he would do after becoming the world champion. "Um... Well... Lewis didn't necessarily take it well that you ended his streak of titles. So he purposly crashed into you during the cooldown lap." George is in disbelieve, he never thought Lewis would do something like that, but he knows you would never lie to him.

Only now he realises that you zooned out. "Y/N? Everything good?" You shake your head to get rid of the images that resurfaced in your mind. "Yeah, I'm good. I just remembered the incident and-" your voice cracks and tears start to flow down your face. You had been to scared to lose him and remembering this feeling was a little much at the moment. "Hey, hey, hey. I'm alright. Everything is fine and I have my memories back." He pulls you into a thight hug to calm you down slowly.

This night was the best you have had in weeks. Feeling him next to you while falling asleep made you feel safe.

After a lot of conversations and some tests George was cleared for the last race of the season. It was the biggest news on that weekend. George Russell, the campion of the 2022 season, is back in the car!

It is one of the best weeks George has had ever. P1 in FP1, FP2 and FP3. The fastest lap in qualifying and leading the race from start to finish.

This time George arrives in Parc fermé. He comes sprinting towards you after climbing out of his car. Before the team engulfes him in a group hug he picks you up and spins you around. "I am so proud of you, George! I love you!" "I love you too, Y/N!" Sadly he had to go and get weighted and swap his helmet for the P1 cap before giving the interview which is hosted by David Coulthard. "It is good to see you back, George. How does it feel to have such a comeback?" "Thank you, thank you. Yeah, it is incredible to be back. And immediatly winning again. Wow... I don't know what to say... Actually I do. I want to thank the one person who was there for me through everything that has happened in the last few weeks. Y/N! Can you come over here for a second?" You have no clue what he is up to, but you comply. "Y/N, I want to say 'Thank you!'. Thank you for always being there for me, especially through this hard time. I can't imagine how hard it was for you. I wanted to ask you this question a few weeks ago, but we all know what happened... Y/N Y/L/N, will you marry me?" With these words he was down on one knee holding a beautiful ring up to you. You are speechless for a few moments, but after finding your voice again you respond. "Yes! I would love to!" George quickly stands up again to put the ring on your finger and kisses you deeply. The world seems to stand still. You are the happiest you had ever been.

You are going to marry the love of your live!
