Paris had a sneaking suspicion something was going on with her husband. It wasn't anything he'd said or done but her intuition was telling her to keep her eyes open.

So she called Marcy.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Marcy. It's Paris."

"Hey, P. What's up?"

"Are you busy?"

"Never too busy for you."

Paris smiled. "I want to talk about Jude."

"What about him?"

"You'd tell me if he was cheating on me, right?"

"Is this about Laura and Marc?"

"No. I don't think. Something just tells me he's keeping something from me. I don't know. Maybe I'm being weird-?"

"Ah! Don't do that! That's your intuition. Always listen to it. It'll keep you alive longer."

Paris nodded slowly. "So what should I do?"

"I think you should talk to Jay. If he's on the level, you'll feel better. If he's not, set the bed on fire."

Paris giggled. "Thanks, Marce."

"You're welcome. I've got to get back to work. See you at Little Jay's party. Bye."

"Bye." Paris hung up feeling relieved.

It didn't last.

Paris waited for the kids to be asleep for the night before bringing up her concerns. "Jude?"

"Yeah?" He yawned as he got in the bed.

She waited for him to get comfortable before blurting out, "You know you can tell me anything. Right?"

He stilled, sure it was a trap. "Yeah?"

She snuggled into him before looking him eye to eye. "Do you want to tell me anything?"

He blinked before kissing her forehead. "Nope!"

She stared at him as he slammed his eyes shut. No, he didn't!

ATUA

Karou helped put together gift bags for Jason's party. "He just said no?"

"Yeah! And it wasn't even a "no". He said "nope!" like he was hiding something then went to sleep!" Paris raged as she tossed party favors in a bag.

Karou grimaced. "Ouch. What does Marcy say?"

"She said if I wasn't satisfied with his explanation, to light the bed on fire. Do you think she means for him to be in it?"

"Probably,"

Paris accidentally laughed. "Oh! I don't mean to laugh but I'm worried. I love Jude. I don't want to be cheated on though."

"I'm with Marce. Light his ass up."

Paris was going to reply but the urge to vomit overwhelmed her so she ran to the sink in the kitchen.

Karou was concerned. "Are you alright?"

Paris finished emptying her stomach then washed her mouth and the sink out. "Yeah. I think I'm just worrying myself sick."

Karou went to feel her face. "You feel fine."

"I am." Paris moved her hand.

"Still. We were overseas just three weeks ago. You could have caught something funky."
