Little Helper | Sebastian Castellanos x MR

Ch 1 | A New Beginning

I stood by the computers entering password after password. Breaking firewalls and creating new binary codes. The screen was the only thing I had a focus on in my mind to save Sebastian and Lily.

Juli was waiting with her gun in hand as I try to hurry up with the new code. She would glance over to me from time to time before looking up to the big man in the control room. He didn't look that happy about the whole thing. Still seeing his face with distress was a nice change of pace especially on his face.

"Hey (n/n) could you maybe hurry up a little? We don't actually have all day."

"Well, Juli if you think you can do a better job of hacking federal level codes then please be my guest" I sneer, typing away.

Myra didn't do a good job of making these things simple, although I was the one who taught her these things. Still, she could have made things a little easier on me.

The sound of the door being sliced wasn't a pleasant noise either. They're so close while I'm still trying to get access to the final code. Sebastian is lying there, helpless. A feeling of possession bothered me, thinking what if they ever placed a hand on him. If they even thought of killing him, they would have to go through me.

"Listen to me Kidman, (L/n) you would be a part of a new utopia. A place of peace without war or anguish, everyone's perfect dream. Otherwise, the punishment for your betrayal...will legendary."

"Stop trying to utter out bullshit, you trying to reassure yourself or something. A Utopia won't end anything, it will be a monarchy all over again. A hive mind only works with a queen that controls it" Juli explains to the man upstairs. " 'Join us or die?' Well, guess what? There's a third choice...And that's 'Fuck you!' "

   Don't laugh don't laugh (N/n). But seriously his expression is so kickable right now. I sniffle a laugh just as he was having his temper tantrum. Finishing in the nick of time I could see his face distort to confusion once he pressed the control button. Juli on the other hand grin with pride.

"What did you think we weren't prepared? How stupid can you get?" I ask laughing. Pointing over to Juli. "She got here's out days ago. Meanwhile, your high-security facility somehow allowed little old me to slip through the cracks."

Going back to ignoring him. Juli was readying her gun as I did the same. Just the sound of chimes catches out attention. Looking at the computer a new message appears on the screen. We both look over to see it was from Myra!

'System connected to Mobius members.
Ready for Final Phase.
The rest is up to you, Juli, (M/n).'

"You did it Myra" we both comment.

Moving toward Juli's side I take a position toward looking to the door. With one final glance toward the computer and to Juli, she looked relieved in a way. The door was close to being cracked open just as she reaches over. Pressing the necessary button now all we have to do is wait to see what happens.

I hope this works Myra...

---3RD POV---

Now the three adults and the young child stand at the edge of Krimson City. Kidman speaks to Lily while the two males watch with happiness in their eyes. (M/n) glances over to Sebastian who has the same loving expression he had when he looks at his wife and daughter. It was a look that would always bring light in dark situations.

With his determination and protective stature, he was able to get his daughter back after years of going missing. However, the only cost to do so was to leave his wife behind in STEM. He truly did love her, so to leave her behind left a permanent scar on his heart.

"Are you ready to go, Sebastian, it will be a few days' journeys to your destination" Kidman asks, worried for her friend. Sebastian could only reassure her.

"I'll be fine Kid, Lily is safe so I can sleep peacefully now. Besides..." Sebastian explains, reaching over for (M/n). "This guy right here is my little helper~"

"Sebastian I hate to tell you but I'm taller."

"Shut up you're ruining the moment."

Kidman softly laughs watching the two best friends banter. Although she couldn't say it out loud, she was going to miss these good times. She could always visit them, she knows that, yet a part of her told her this was the last time. For a while that is. After today she wasn't going to see them for a while. So she wanted to make the best out of it all.

The little girl was now all set in the back seat, as the adults finally said goodbye. In the end, Sebastian was happy Kidman brought him to STEM to save Lily. The first ended things badly, but now all grudges seem to disappear. While (M/n) was going to miss his good friend who he learned to see as his sister.

"You better keep in touch (M/n). I need to know all the juicy embarrassing stories about Sebastian while you're gone."

"Trust me if I were to expose any, I'll be a dead man."

The two laugh, imaging the tragedy in the making. Still, it was a good joke that left them happier than before. With one final hug and whisper of words, which (M/n) started blushing over. He was in the car, ready to go. A final glance to Kidman, he starts the car.

Slowly driving out onto the highway, Lily waves goodbye from the back seat, as Kidman did the same. Both Sebastian and (M/n) would glance in the rearview mirror from time to time. As they went over the first hill, they were finally out of Krimson City.

Kidman just stood there for a moment, finally taking a deep breath. Fresh free air, something she never thought she would have a chance to experience. It was thanks to her friends that she was able to do this.

Turning around to her car, Kidman was ready before heading off on her journey. The three friends knew this was the beginning of a better chapter.
