The Second Challenge

You and Jennie arrive back at the girls dorm. All the rest of Blackpink and Jihyo are waiting, their gear all oiled and ready to use.

Jihyo-It will be time soon.

As if on Cue, Coyote knocks on the door.

Coyote-It's time.

Lisa-Let's go, guys!

Coyote-Follow me.

You are escorted to the great hall, and Coyote separates you into different cubicles. A spotlight shines above you, and you glance upwards. On a raised platform is Anasai.

Anasai-The Trial will begin now. I will ask some of you an individual riddle. There will be 6 individual riddles. No help is allowed on these quests. Then there will be a total of three group riddles. A group consists of no more than four people. Choose carefully. The final quest is only to be done by the Heir. Every time you get one riddle wrong, one of you will be killed. Painfully. Good luck.

The room fades into pitch black. You hear the gears of the raised platform moving, clanking noisily. It stops. A spotlight shines onto Ten.

Anasai-Congratulations, you are the first challenger.

Ten-*gulps.

Jisoo-Ten, fighting!

Anasai- A boy fell off a 100 foot ladder, but he did not get hurt. How is this possible?

Ten-how much time do I have?

Anasai-2 minutes.

Ten-. . .

Joshua-Hell, it's so easy.

Y/n-What is it?

Joshua-The boy was only on the first step.

Y/n-0_0!

Anasai-1 minute remaining.

Ten-I have an answer!

Anasai-procede.

Ten-the boy was only on the first step.

Anasai-Is that your final answer?

Ten-. . . yes.

Anasai-Well done, that is correct.

Ten collapses to the floor in relief. The lights go out again.

Lisa-Here we go.

This time Jisoo is selected.

 Anasai-Our second challenger. What three letters change a girl into a woman? Your time begins now.

Jisoo-three letters? C'mon Jisoo think!

Anasai-1 minute.

Jisoo-Is this literal or metaphorical?

Anasai-30 seconds.

Jisoo-Answer! Age.

Anasai-correct.

Joshua answers correctly to his riddle. (what tree can you hold in your hand? The answer was palm) You feel more confident as you guys have got three consecutive answers. Jihyo passes easily on her test as well. (A plane crashes and every single person dies. Who are the survivors? The answer was Married couples) The rest of the trial goes smoothly. Until it's your individual turn.

Anasai leads you to an escape room.

Anasai-You have one hour. Good luck.

The room reeks. You light a match and take a look at your surroundings. There is an old rotten book, a rickety table and several dressers. A dirty mattress lies in the corner.

Y/n-Where to start?

You rifle through the dressers. You find an old key, and a torn paper saying 1.) 3

Y/n-Part of a passcode?

Under the table is a locked chest.

You look under the mattress and find a strange crossword puzzle.

You decide to keep it for later.

The chair has a wobbly leg. You pull it off and find a rolled piece of paper saying 2.) 7

You sit down and figure out. It takes a full 15 minutes. When it is completed you connect the circled boxes from left to right, and spell the word Lies.

Y/n-Great.

The fits on one of the two padlocks on the door. You remove a painting from the wall, and see a box with a combination made of letters. Enter in Lies, and it opens revealing another slip of paper. 3.) 1 You finally take notice of the wastebasket and dump out 4 crumpled balls of paper. The 4 slips make out a picture of the number 9.

The last box unlocks and you rush to take the key. The last lock is dropped and you enter a large room. You are shocked to see your friends in a large cage. They are dangling over a pit of spears.

Y/n-WTF?

Lisa-Y/n!

Woozi-the bastard locked us in here! Coyote has the key.

Coyote-Rawr!

You dodge the attack and grab a spear that is lying out of the pit.

Y/n-get my friends out of there!

Coyote-Snarl!

You jab at him with the spear and he hisses in pain. He bites your shoulder, and you scream. A swift hit with the spear and he whimpers and runs back. Caressing your bleeding shoulder, you hit him again. And grab the golden key around his neck. You rush to free your friends and Lisa grabs her whistle. A loud shriek is heard above you. Coyote is back on his feet. He begins to run up the stairs, but Vernon sends a swift kick to his face. Coyote howls and stumbles backwards.

You all grab the reins of your dragons and ride away the Palace of Loki. Behind you Coyote roars.
