3rd Person POV
The hall erupts in cheers as the old hat was taken off of Wanda's head. She was lead in the direction of the Gryffindor table and sat down with her friends. They all cheer once she sits down and Wanda smiles. "See I told you, you would be place in Gryffindor." Hermione praises and hands Wanda a glass of water.
She looks to everyone around her and beams. "Yes I never doubted you for a second. I feel I was correctly placed." They all laugh and talk for a good while before Dumbledore comes to his podium and speaks. "Welcome! Welcome to another year at Hogwarts."
She turns and puts all her attention to the front of the room. "First, I'm pleased to welcome Professor R.J. Lupin who's kindly consented to fill the post of Defense Against
the Dark Arts teacher. Good luck, professor." Hermione looks to Harry from the across the table. "Of course. That's why he knew to give you the chocolate, Harry."Wanda attention is taken away from Dumbledore when she hears loud whispering coming from the table next to them. "Potter. Is it true you fainted?" A boy with very blonde hair says. "I mean, you actually fainted?" He laughs as one of his friends pretends to faint. Ron grabs Harry shoulder and pulls him back towards the table. "Shove off Malfoy."
Harry looks down and sighs. "How did he find out?" Hermione shakes her head. "Just forget about it." When Wanda was about to start listening to the speech again she heard whispering from the table again. "Hey you." She looks over with disgruntled look on her face to see the same blonde boy staring at her.
He gives her a creepy smile. "Yeah you, what brings you here?" Wanda plays into his little game a leans forward with a sly smile. "It's none of your business." She says slow letting her accent fall easily from her mouth. By this point the trio has noticed their conversation and starts ease dropping.
He sat back looking fake hurt. "Now come on, don't be like that. I just asked a pretty girl a question." Wanda internally gags and looks him in the eyes. "Well it's a question you don't need answered. Only my real friends get to know that." Hermione, Ron, and Harry all smile at her comment.
He sits back and stares at her. A weird look growing in his eyes. "Well we could be good friends." Wanda stares at him in disbelief, but he continues. "Let me learn about that accent you have, and get you away from the crap you're calling friends now." Wanda grows angry and tilts her head while looking him dead in eyes. "I just meet you, and I can already tell we will not make good friends."
"I'm happy with who I have. I don't need the likes of you to tell me otherwise." Everyone around them at the Gryffindor table audibly gaps or laughs at her comeback, and at the pale look on Draco's face. "Your going to regret that." He spits out before turning around and grumbling to his friends.
